BCS National Championship: Alabama (13-0) vs Oregon (13-0)
Sugar Bowl: Missouri (11-2) vs Central Florida (11-1)
Capital One Bowl: Auburn (10-2) vs Michigan State (10-3)
Outback Bowl: South Carolina (10-2) vs Wisconsin (10-2)
Cotton Bowl: LSU (9-3) vs Texas Tech (10-2)
Chick-Fil-A Bowl: Texas A&M (8-4) vs Miami (FL) (11-2)

Cotton west. Technically. #3
Normally. Shakes out this way

Cap one is best team not in BCS

Yeah the reason they usually pick the Eastern team is because of travel and location to Eastern teams. They can pick any SEC team.

The main reason recently. Is usually it's the SECCG runner up. Because the past few years a team not in SECCG has finished in the BCS. And the west of course has won recently.

Usually they take highest ranked (bcs) sec team available.

8-4 Ole Miss still finishes 5th in the West in my projections.

With that said, it would literally take two games going differently (Texas A&M beating LSU, but then having an off-day against someone else and getting upset) to put Ole Miss in the Cotton or Chick-Fil-A Bowl. The West is just really tight this year.

If Auburns only other loss is a close loss to Alabama, I could see them sneaking in to the Sugar Bowl.
