When was the last time you did NOT expect Alabama to win?

And I don't mean you thought it would be a close game that Bama just wouldn't quite pull out. When was the last time Alabama played a team that you felt was better than Bama in all phases and Alabama didn't stand a chance. I have a couple in mind, but I will hang up and listen first.

2009 SECCG against Florida. I saw Tebow as the difference.

I remember just hoping Alabama would make a good showing against Clemson in the 2008 season opener. I thought #8 Clemson had way too much fire power with CJ Spiller, James Davis, Jacoby Ford, etc. Alabama was coming off a 7-6 season. I didn't think Alabama would actually win the game much less put on the display we saw on offense and defense. We got introduced to Ingram, Julio, and company and from that point forward I have thought Alabama should win or had a very good chance to win every game since.
Score: Alabama 34, Clemson 10
The stats show the complete domination:
Ala Clem
1st Downs: 25 11
3rd down efficiency: 11-17 1-9
Total Yards: 419 188
Passing: 180 188
Comp-Att: 22-30 20-34
Yards per pass: 6.0 5.5
Rushing: 239 0 (I mean, damn)
Rushing Attempts: 50 14
Yards per rush: 4.8 0.0
PenTurnovers 0 2
Fumbles lost 0 1
Interceptions thrown 0 1
Possession 41:13 18:47
This was the first game that truly showed what Alabama under Saban was going to do to me.

I felt more like this in 08 than 09

Really good question. I didn't have a lot of confidence going into the 2010 LSU game, but I wouldn't say I expected us to lose.
Even the 08 SECCG I felt we could win. I'd probably say the 07 UGA game was the last one I can remember where I had that feeling of hoping we could just make it a close game.

Probably Oklahoma when we went to their house in early 2000's was the last time I had accepted before kickoff we would lose. Ironically we had a great chance to win that game

I went to that game at Oklahoma in 2002. I expected to compete. We had a shot late until Watts fumbled. The return game, in 2003, was a different story. I was surprised we kept it is close.

2008 Florida. There have been many times I've thought we were going to lose (like all 3 championship games) but that's different than not expecting us to win imo
