Question regarding Kentucky/Bama upset possibility

If Bama loses to Kentucky in a close, surprising way but runs the table the rest of the way and wins the SEC, do you think a one loss Bama gets in over another one loss team like Stanford or Oregon?
(Scenario assumes only one undefeated team this year. Thanks for opinions)

No way. If Alabama is upset by Kentucky they will not make up enough ground by seasons end. Would be a terrible loss, similar to Okie State losing to ISU in 2011. Even if they won the SEC they probably wouldn't be ranked higher than 4th in the final poll.

A) Bama doesn't lose to Kentucky, we aren't LSU.
B) no. too many teams brah. And Kentucky.

Pretty sure a one loss Bama will get in regardless of the loss.

Bad question and hell no. We got in past years because teams lost to bad teams. If we lose to a bad team we're not getting in just because Saban is our coach and we're Alabama.

Possible. They would still have wins over LSU and UGA to finish the year. Might be enough.

Since we're getting hypothetical up in here, Kentucky *could* win out and, at 8-4, be considered a solid SEC team. In that case the Alabama loss would be shocking but not a world breaker.
but if you are asking what would happen if Kentucky is the bad we all assume they are, then Alabama would absolutely deserve to be passed over for a 1 loss Pac12 champ. "our loss is better" was the argument the tide had in 2011, what would the argument be now?

If LSU can lose to Kentucky AND Arkansas and still make the NC game Bama will still make it.

I didn't even know who bama was playing this weekend.

Is this actually a discussion? I'm hopeful for our team, but I'm hoping we split the MSU/UT/VU/Mizzou games.

Yes. Bama would get in.
Just like LSU in 2007 or Alabama in 2011.
If Alabama loses to Kentucky and goes on to beat LSU and Auburn and then wins the SECCG against Georgia or Florida or South Carolina, they will most definitely have the best resume.
For one, Virginia Tech will finish with 3 losses, so they should be a top 20 team. A&M will probably have 2 or 3 losses or maybe even one loss and with the hype of Manziel, they will be top 15. Auburn has greatly improved and could easily be a top 25 team come the Iron Bowl. LSU will be a top 15 team. The SECCG will also feature a top ten matchup.
No other team in the country with one loss will be able to make the argument.

If Bama loses to UK, that will not be their only loss. But, to answer your question...hell no.

Better chance Saban runs to Austin 10 seconds after shaking Stoops' hand.

Sooooo, the only way I see 'Bama losing to UK is if UK shows up to play like this:
Ain't no way enny team from Alabamastan can beat a Kentucky team when a round ball is involved.

You could promise every UK player a "all inclusive" date with this girl and they still couldn't get it done.
