Ya I agree, it's def in the realm of possibility. I think LSU is more likely to play for the title than either OSU or Louisville as of right now

LSU won a natty with 2 losses. So it's very much possible.

It's still possible (for the title game). LSU still has 3 ranked teams on the schedule (including #1 and another in the top 10), plus a highly ranked opponent in the SEC championship (I'd say Georgia in a rematch, but suddenly Mizzou looks to be in serious position to make a run). Coming out of that 12-1, LSU would jump Louisville, and likely Oklahoma and Ohio St.

If Oregon/Stanford go undefeated, we don't pass them. If Florida St/Clemson go undefeated, we don't pass them either. One of those pairs have to disappear in order for any 1-loss SEC team to make it in, IMO. Otherwise, this season will be either Bama vs somebody, or Pac-12 vs ACC.

Right now, my money would be Oregon vs Florida St. I think they both run the table, and either should beat Bama, who I think loses sometime this season anyway.

Pretty much. People underestimate how rare it is for BCS conference teams to go undefeated. Extremely difficult and unlikely. These are kids. They make it to November with an "0" in the loss column and they start to feel the pressure and they lose. Either that or they start believing their own press clippings and they lose.

If LSU takes care of business, they'll have a good chance to play for the NC.

If we win every game left including Texas am and bama, do you think it's still possible?

Why is this question asked every year? The only thing worse are all the people who don't think it's possible. It's like they think the season's over after the first big game of the year.

Nope. 2 of the following will win out and end up in the BCSCG over a 1 loss LSU: Oregon, Ohio State, Clemson, FSU, Stanford.

I agree with this. The only 1-loss SEC team that might get in over those two is Bama. That's only because they're the 2-time defending champ and not because of some Bama bias.

(yes, I realize that Bama has not lost yet - just speaking hypothetically).

The more interesting question is what if Mizzou goes undefeated. Does the SEC mojo translate for them over the list provided?

A one loss LSU, Bama, A&M or Georgia is in the National Championship game. The country wants to see the SEC lose.

Yeah I agree, this is key. I don't think people would be satisfied with another conference just winning the BCS title. They want to see the SEC taken DOWN. Especially if it's Alabama.
