65% confidence in the Dawgs entering this weekend.

LSU could probably only hurt themselves on Saturday (if they struggle against Auburn).

Dawgs could hurt or help themselves depending on how the defense looks. I'm guessing that the D holds N Texas to 10 or less.

Not sure I qualify as a "friend" but I'm about 55% confident that UGA wins.

Sexy, you know me I tend to be objective and pragmatic. The way I see it: LSU has the better defense and Georgia probably has the better offense although I have to say our OL was anything but impressive vs Clemson. Both of our teams lost to Clemson in close games so that is probably a reasonable comparison. In that light, your D will load the box to stop the run and our OL will struggle protecting Murray against your DL so I don't expect us to score much over 4 TD's.

Our defense is obviously weak in general so I think you guys will be able to run pretty consistently giving Mett some play-action opportunities to make big plays.

As such I'm guessing we will as usual lose this game in the trenches against another quality opponent but our skill players on offense will probably keep us in the game. Since the game is in Athens I would say it could go either way but right now I would have to pick LSU by about a field goal; I think your defense is a bit more capable of keeping our offense under control and our defense has a lot of young players and still looks weak.

I'm pretty damn confident. Granted I'm pretty confident unless we're huge underdogs but I think we at least win by a TD.

Fitty five purcent GA wins. Home field is a blessing for this one. Will be close, like 31-28.

50/50 after scrolling through our defensive rankings. We are at home and that will help, but as usual I'm a pessimist.

I feel good, but I look forward to watching y'all beat Allbarn and I think I'll have a better idea after watching y'all play. I know they won't put up much of a fight, but it will be the best competition LSU has played this year. We have to get to Mett and disrupt the passing game and I believe you would say the same for your D as well.
Good Luck

I see this as a coin toss game. Might give a slight edge to Georgia, assuming the officials are with them.

Need to see the team vs NT first. I know Georgia can win and IMO should win being that it's at home but right now I am 55/45 for UGA, wavering back to 50/50 often

Can the OL pull it together again? Can Murray continue his streak of not being a total guido? Only time shall tell, cause I have already resigned myself to seeing Georgia give up 400 yards.

No bold prediction on my part although I do expect it to be a heavyweight fight between two very good football teams. I haven't had a chance to watch LSU play yet this year but people have posted that the Bayou Bengals are a little down this year. I'm going to watch the LSU-UAub game Saturday night so perhaps I'll be able to get a better feel for what LSU has this year.

I give us a slight nod because its at home and I think we'll be able to move the ball against you guys. Also, I hope we show a more effective pass rush against Mett because we don't have to worry about him running on us so we can pin our ears back and go after him in the right circumstances.

That being said, if we can't get to him he's going to hurt our secondary...and if you guys start running down our throat it could be a long day.

Grantham is going to give you the run because you'll be playing from behind the whole game, while UGA chews up 6 to 8 minutes of the clock per possession.

LSU's defense may be better than UGA's, but not by much. UGA's offense is night and day better than LSU. Even if Mett has improved, he's no Murray. Even if Hill is good, he's no Gurley.

The criticism of UGA OL was deserved after the Clemson loss, Andrews and Gates particularly.

But the OL absolutely owned South Carolina's super fancy awesome defensive line, for the redemption.

UGA should win by at least two scores, and it could be more but Richt will be playing the clock with a two score lead in the 4th instead of running it up.

However, I don't think that will accurately reflect how good/bad LSU is... it really will be their first game against a great opponent, there could very well be weaknesses on their team that even Les Miles doesn't know about, because they haven't played any opponent good enough to expose them.

Georgia's weaknesses got exposed on day 1. UGA has 5 weeks to improve through coaching, practice, personnel changes.

LSU hasn't had that luxury.

If Mett catches on fire like he did at the 2010 G Day game, it will be a long afternoon for our shatty D. IF, and that's a big IF CTG figures out how to stop the run and our young D plays up to their potential then we can win. I hope that they remember the 2011 SECCG arse pounding and come out for payback. In all reality, I think that it will be a close game and UGA definately has the talent to win it. Both teams are really too talented to blow the other one out. It will probably be a nail biter!
