I'm not doubting that. We have had 90,000+ in Jordan Hare before. I just copied and pasted.

In related news, Tennessee will be redoing the stadium seating to bring the total to 104k. The are no plans for any new construction.

so those 10" wide seats are being reduced to 8" wide seats They're gonna have to start doing what airlines are doing and making people by two seats for fat asses.

Because college football isn't a huge deal up there. Not rocket surgery.

Oregon is nouveau riche... they are talking about expansion but it hasn't happened yet.

The stadium is already loud so I suppose certain brass don't think they need to expand yet.

It'll have to happen eventually, just not sure when they'll be forced to pull the trigger.

It's not the size of your stadium, it's how you use it......

Or so I've been told.

Ours isn't projected to be as big as yalls. Don't listen to a flub by miles. LSU has maintained approx 99.5 the entire time. Unless it's some big secret/surprise we will not be in the 102/103 range.

I made the same analogy to Mississippi when I first moved here.

Not that Oregon remotely resembles Mississippi but it is as you say a similar population size and stadium size. Campuses are both situated 80 miles or more where most people in the state live (Portland metro). Ole Miss and State have similar challenges getting people from Jackson to make the trip.

I think if U of O expanded Autzen they could easily get 70k, maybe even 80k for home games. Beyond that seems unlikely. People up here just aren't *that* into college football -- especially in the Portland metro.

People on the West Coast find all kinds of other stuff to do on the weekend and football just isn't the end all and be all like it was for me growing up in Baton Rouge.
