First off let me say that I think he's one hell of a football player, but is he "42 points against Alabama good"? No.

What we saw Saturday was just a like of motivation by Alabama. To me, it's inevitable that they trip up at least once this year. Not because they're bad, Saban's a bad coach, or they have bad players, but because they have won three of the last four, and it seems their goal is to just not lose. It's hard for a program to stay motivated when you basically have nothing left to accomplish.

In the game there were some plays with terrible coverage by the corners like Fulton on the first few plays. Yes, Mike Evans is a GREAT receiver, but hardly does any receiver ever physically beat a highly-trained cornerback on three different plays in the first quarter. Especially on an Alabama-coached defense.

Bottom line:
Is Alabama a good team? yes
Is A&M a good team? yes
Will they have ten-win seasons? yes
Am I excited for LSU's game against them? yes

But I just don't think JFF is good enough to consistently hang 42 points on some of the top defenses in the country. That was simply a result of an over-hyped game which often turn into slugfests. He's legendary though. No doubt about that.

Rant on as you wish!

Surely you don't mean "lack of motivation"..

He's much better this year than last, and he was great last year.

If you came away from that game without being impressed by Manziel, you are hopeless.

A lot of things are debatable, this is not. Manziel did, in fact, drop 42 points on Alabama. This is an indisputable fact.

Bama is the better team, but Manziel is THAT good.

That's cool. But, the numbers he put up last year along with how well he has performed to this point, I am not sure what else he could possibly do to change your mind. Manziel is pretty fricking great.

You will change your mind 5 minutes into that game. He will tear LSU a new a-hole after what I saw in that Alabama game. Dude is unstoppable.

He ran for more yards in their bowl game last year than LSU had in total offense in its bowl game.

He hasn't been held to under 300 total yards in a game since his first collegiate game ever against Florida. He had two games where he played just a half, but those don't count (he dominated those too).

He's had over 900 yards of offense and 7 TDs against Bama and the Saban D in two meetings.

He's white and can outrun fast black people.

I hereby anoint him a quarterback god.

This wasn't a bad post, but you ruined it by shitting on Johnny Hancock for no real reason

Bama could be lacking motivation AND Manziel could be a beast, y'know. It's not an either-or thing.

I guess those 42 points A&M dropped on Bama were just my imagination then.

How can you imply that Bama wasn't motivated? Top ranked opponent in a revenge game = ample motivation.
