How does A&M replace Swope today?

I think thats gonna be a pretty important key to A&M's success (or lack of) today. Swope was money in the game last year. Made some tough catches knowing he was gonna get hit hard (and probably concussed..again). Manziel hit swope 11 times for 111 yards. The next leading receiver for A&M had 46 yards so Swope played a huge factor.
I know Mike Evans is #1 but thus far the Ags haven't really had a #2 receiver step up. RSJ only has 3 catches on the year and 71 of his 84 total yards came on 1 catch. So theres gonna be a lot of focus on Evans from Bama and another wideout will have to emerge. But who?

RSJ only has 3 catches but he has only played in one half. There's also Malcolm Kennedy. He made the go ahead TD catch. Well be OK without swope

They have capable WRs for days

I think technically Malcolm Kennedy. But there are many guys and with Evans and RJ they may use them a lot if the pressure is on. Nice big target to dump it to.
Plus I expect lots of passes to backs.
and correct receivers for days.

Good question OP. Swope was absolutely nails. Difficult to replace his leadership, but we have some guys who we are looking to step up.

This. WR depth is getting better, not worse.

Swope caught some ridiculous catches. Like I have never seen before. It was ridiculous. But Alabama made some inexplicable mistakes. We'll see how everything balances out.

Why has RSJ only played in one half? Is he already hurt?

I think he played little in first game as it was his first game. He had minor injury week 2 and they just wanted to keep him rested and let the muscles heal up.
You will see him.

Fact. He played a man's game last year. I guess the point I'm making is that despite A&M's WR depth, on a lot of those catches, Swope got popped and probably knew it was coming. Theres a ton of guys around college football who would hear footsteps and not make those catches.

they have like a million receivers

Derel Walker
RSJ
Quiv Gonzalez
Sabian Holmes
WR and RB are the least of our troubles.

Very true but very inexperienced. Lets not forget the pressure of this game being the biggest for aTm in decades.

Please show me a "ridiculous" catch Swope made......waiting......still waiting...
He got blasted once over the middle and hung on, but the actual catch, like most that day, were pretty easy. Seems the QB kept throwing it right on the numbers.

Swope most over rated player in SEC history

Have you seen our other receivers??? Jaquay, Evans, Kennedy, and Holmes are all great

Sabian Holmes is the most Swope-like of our receivers IMO. (comedy Travis Labhart option)
