Nice revisionist history. How about a link to this scheduled meeting? Yeah, that's what I thought.

It's common knowledge young was killed days before sitting down with NCAA. Sorry you don't know this.

But they will, if the Manziels try to sue them. Which is why they won't

They don't have to. All they need to do is threaten to join the O'Bannon lawsuit.

Well then "common knowledge" is wrong. Logan Young died on April 11, 2006. Bama had been on probation for Young's transgressions for 4 years by that time and Young had been disassociated with Bama for nearly 5 years by then.

as long as manziel lies there's nothing the ncaa can do to him.

If he did it then I think he should sit because of what another poster said (others caught had to sit). If he didn't do it then I think he should play. I know no one wants to say hey, I'm guilty, I did it, etc., but I hope that he is honest about it whether he did or did not.

I personally would have more respect for him if he fessed up and said I did it (if he did in fact recieve money for autographs). If he honestly did not do it then I think people should get over it.

Either way, I'm just ready for football to be back.

Some of the texags tinfoil hat wearers think that ESPN is being catfished here (Manti Teo Style) and that the NCAA is a willing participant.

For what it is worth, I think most everyone believes he had a great deal of help falling up the stairs (particularly since the autopsy found no drugs or alcohol in his system) but it almost certainly wasn't related to the Alabama mess.

You completely misunderstand.

These folks think it's an elaborate catfish prank being pulled on ESPN.

+1 for knowing your stuff.

Also, anyone who knew Young knows he would have died before he admitted anything to the NCAA. He was no doubt pushed up a flight of stairs, but that was done by one of his many enemies and had zero to do with the NCAA and Bama.

Did he sign them DIRECTLY for the brokers or did he sign them for what he thought were charities and the items ended up in the hands of brokers via ebay?

I'm sure charities rent motel rooms for people to sign stuff in.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and saying he wasn't paid, or at the very least it cannot be proven. A simple internet search of the name of the man standing there, filming you sign things would've clarified that.
