If they played last year, Clowney would have finished 3rd in sacks instead of 2nd.

Yeah, and if my Aunt had balls she'd be my Uncle ... but you aggie fans keep "if"ing this and that all preseason. You're good at it even.

You have no respect for Luke Joeckel, the best linemen in the country last year. Would have been a hell of a matchup.

Lol, you have no respect for Clowney, do you keep watching football after a&m plays? You sound very hostile towards anything that isn't 100% aggy everyday all the time and everywhere.

You're surprised by this?

They were new and exceeded expectations ... plus they upset Bama.

Perfectly stated.

And Aggie fans hate you right back, by the way.

We didn't have any better of a season really,

No, beating the National Champ in their own house.. One of two teams to do so in 25-2 record...

That is not something to take lightly. The only team expected to give them fits was LSU and maybe Georgia.

Did I say anything bad about joeckel? Just because I don't pump him up as all world doesn't mean I'm trashing him, and it would be a fun matchup, joeckel would have his pancakes, but no way clowney doesn't beat him several times as well, the aggy I responded to didn't even mention clowney might beat joeckel...

Clowney will be the number one overall pick this year Imo.

Also, we're a better road team than home team. Aggie fans, beating us at Kyle Field would be a bigger accomplishment than beating us in Bryant-Denny.

Well come on Sep. 14, then!

They were similar but there are 3 key differences:

1. A&M beating Bama in BDS is more impressive than USC beating UGA in Columbia.

2. A&M absolutely destroying OU in the Cotton Bowl was more impressive than USC winning a tight game with Michigan.

3. A&M finished the season on a 6 game win streak and with Bama being the only game that was even competitive. USC had a nice 5 game win streak as well but after the big UGA game they lost the next 2, including getting blown out badly by UF, and they struggled against a terrible UT team in Columbia.

That's why A&M finished higher than USC in the rankings and deservedly so.

Had Texas A&M played Florida that late in the season the Aggies would have won by 30.

I don't disagree with any of the points made in A&M's favor, but I have a hard time caring. 2nd place is the 1st place loser.

But... in the context of a USC fan arguing about which team had the better year, the gloves come off and your points are suddenly more valid.

Vs. the UF that showed up against Louisville? Yes.

Vs. the UF that showed up @ FSU? Hell no.

I think A&M would have won and it wouldn't have been close.
