Only regret in life is not going to college, but if I did I would have never met my wife and had my 2 beautiful girls.
Will always be a LSU fan.

I'll be an LSU alumnus in two years, then getting my MBA elsewhere

Graduates love a school in a way that t-shirt fans can't. I lived on or blocks from campus for 5 1/2 years. You kind of measure your life against that, for the rest of your life. I can assure you gentlemen; LSU was a GREAT place to be a young man in the 1980's.
This. Alums are no better than true fans but alums have a passion for their alma mater that sidewalkers cannot understand.

I wish they were, but this is a lot like saying more women should try to look like Kate Upton. There are some things that cannot be taught.
that's good.

Thanks, I think
I kid... mostly. WAY too long a story: My gripe with AF units back before your father went to A&M (and screw you for being so young, btw ) was a few sticking to the damn rules above all else. I sat a football weekend because as the C.O. I had signed a statement saying that all seniors in our company had Corps senior parking passes on their vehicles in the rear window. One of our guys didn't, because he drove a Jeep with plastic windows and the sticker wouldn't stick. No matter! I lied!!! And the #$!%@! AF puke walked down the mile-long row of cars to find his (who does that???), turned me in, and I missed a damn football game. As my fish were pouring drums of water on his nuts from the 3rd floor (do they still "take 'em to the quad"? I surely hope so.) I asked him if he had considered this. No big deal, says he. He wasn't planning on going to the game anyway! So the session lasted a bit longer than normal
But every other AF guy I knew was fine - he just made a strong impression. In any case I have no right to point fingers: Several years after I graduated, F-1 was disbanded after a late-night run resulted in a kid dying, and it has only recently been reinstated. I guess being a stickler for parking passes is better than killing freshmen.

I graduated with a 2 degrees in Economics and accounting from lsu . I got my MBA from Alabama. regions paid for it so Iooked passed it even though my Lsu peeps gave me shite about it . Alabama actually has a solid MBA program as well as LSU now

I couldn't of Said it better mwlewis. When they play the Alma mater, the sidewalk alums will never truly understand the experience us alums have for our school . I find that most alums even though passionate will be more critical than Joe sunshine pumper

This is bullshite. The vast majority of my energy and passion is in Auburn. My connection is strong on family, tradition, and nostalgia of growing up that way. But I'll always be missing a huge part compared to someone who attended there.
I have the misfortune of having that particular connection to GT

I went to a small school more specialized for my field. FIT had no football program so I feel no wrong in cheering for the team I've cheered for my whole life. Plus I've put enough money in merchandise and purchasing tickets that I basically paid my way through school there

I have to agree with Auburn fan here. This is BS. At A&M and discounting bonfire for the young'uns: Silver Taps (extraordinarily respectful tribute to the dead), Midnight Yell Practice, etc., no offense but nobody who didn't attend A&M has a clue what A&M is about. And I'm not trumpeting A&M's virtues here - I'm sure other schools have rich traditions that sidewalk fans are absolutely clueless about. The same could be said of almost any school that isn't mostly day-students.
