Is it just me or does Sumlin seem to be the ultimate enabler of this behavior? Each time Johnny seems to have done something stupid or gets in trouble, Sumlin never hands out any discipline or anything that we are aware of. Seems like he does nothing in terms of discipline and just tries to sweep it all under the rug and looks the other way.

Could you imagine Johnny getting away with any of his shenanigans with someone like Saban as coach? Saban would either have had him in line by now or thrown him off the team already.

About as much blame as should be put on Les for enabling assault.

Stop obsessing over A&M

Go whack it to your Saban poster and take a nap

There are only two types of fans in this discussion: fans of programs who have multiple players who behave the same way, and fans of programs who have never won anything.

I would say that Sumlin bears none of the blame. This is all Manziel, he comes off as a spoiled brat. There will be no sweeping this one under the rug. I think Manziel has probably played his last down for the aggs

Nothing Manziel has been scrutinized for could have been prevented by A&M.

- Sitting Courtside
- Taking pictures backstage at concerts
- Tweeting about CS due to a parking ticket
- Missing Manning Camp for oversleeping
- Newest story about $ for autographs

None of that is A&M or Sumlin's fault.

I don't blame Sumlin. He is no Saban and does not have the kind of control over a program that Saban does. I would assume that he does as he's told.

Keep Johnny happy. We will "handle it" scenario.

Sumlin just seems like he is the type of coach who only cares about winning and could care less about the well being, behavior, and academics of his players

Kind of like Calipari or Bob Huggins for college basketball, instead of the more tough nose guys like Coach K or Bob Knight

Everone needs to Reconize A&M is not professional at these type Issues as the majority of the SEC is; that will take time.

Kevin Sumlin = Mark Richt's heir to the throne.

What about when he got in a bar fight?
Or pushing/hitting an assistant coach?

No suspensions, nothing.

Just looking the other way.

Sumlin could have sent a message early and kept him in line but instead his enabling has caused him to get out of control with no fear of reprocussions.

If he was complicit in it the way that The Vest was, then a decent amount of blame.

Otherwise, very little.
