How much does one Sec football player make in a year?

Lets talk about the best fb players out there. How many twenty dollar handshakes would you say highly-recruited players like clowney, mccarron, Montgomery, manziel, or Murray receive a year?

At Arkansas they are student-athletes who play for the love of the game!
At Missouri, they are too poor to pay their players plus their players are so shitty they wouldn't have to pay them anyway.
Good luck with the other 12/14

While I do think there's widespread violations, I don't think it's in the extreme amounts like it was in the 80s. I'd say under $1,000 a year

It was way less than a $1000 in the eighties. It's probably still way less, unless you include the occasional picked up bar tab.

It was 200K. And paid back handsomely and your Auburn didn't get the Death Penalty.. One of the worst over-looks in the history of college athletics ever!

Well, they get tuition, housing, and the meal plan, so that's plenty. No idea what they actually make under the table during the year. The most I ever heard for an SEC to player to sign on the dotted line on NSD was $10, 000. Also heard another guy received $1500 for his signature on NSD. Can't verify the truthfulness, but the guy I heard It from was about as close to a former SEC assistant coach as you can be.

I lived in tampa for 4 years. I've seen a few big name recruits get some new cars in their driveway of their run down ghetto homes. Parents get a New Escalade, school gets a new player. I won't name names because it's pointless because I don't have evidence. My friend and I decided we would find out if schools were cheating..it's incredibly easy. Guy would commit, get address, go by house. One school is so bold that they put their damn emblem bold face on the back window too LOL. Cars seem to be the big thing too. Five different tampa recruits parents got shiny new cars worth more then their houses ;). Yes, Florida was one of the schools.
Everyone cheats...stop acting like your school is innocent. It's almost laughable. CFB is to much of a business to not do anything possible to get the upper hand.

5 star recruit can probably around $100k if he goes about it the right way. Cam was shopped for $180k asking price which MSU apparently tried to push through, but got shot down.
Trent got a new house and relocation package for his GF, family and 5 kids or whatever, plus drove 2-3 expensive cars at bama.
We all know Julio, his cars, moms new job, and 50 suits, etc.
Could give many more examples, but those are the most high profile recently.
Also, do not underestimate the cash funneled into high schools to get recruits. Foley has collected hundreds of thousands in the past 5 years it would appear. And the $500k donation to Cyrus K's HS, the $100k to Dee Hart's, etc. I really think an equal amount is spent there or possibly more than direct gifts/cash to recruits.
I will go with $100k for a top 5 star recruit for a big program that has boosters willing to pony up the cash with no questions asked.
