Has anyone ever called you a "Gump" in real life?

I know that and "Bammer" are the names that other fans like to call us, but I never hear them IRL, not even when we visit other schools. I only hear them on the rant and on Facebook and Twitter. Am I the only one who's noticed this?

Once. Walking outside the Superdome before the BCSCG, an LSU fan asked "You like Forrest Gump?" as we walked by each other. I replied "You like corn dogs?"
He looked really confused. Not sure if he wasn't familiar with that nickname or was trying to think of a comeback.

I don't think they see that as an insult. Idk why everyone tries to act like it is.

I have heard Bammer from Auburn fans, but I'm pretty sure Gump is a TD phenomenon.

Only in relation to a haircut and briefly being a resident of Montgomery by someone living outside of it.

I make my wife call me "Bammer" in bed.

Been called Gump plenty of times in Baton Rouge.
Get called a Bammer often in Alabama. I even sometimes call other Bama fans bammers.

I just changed that tonight. Interested to see how long it goes before I get the PM to change it or it gets changed for me.

No. I never heard the term until I soiled my feet in the SECR circa 2010. Grown men tend not to call other grown men names where I live.

Yes a few times... what do you expect when you haven't shaved in over 6 months and you're wearing a bama hat. Outside of looking like running Forrest Gump, no never

I have lived in Alabama my entire life. I have never been called a gump or bammer in person.

The girl on the back right of that gif's face makes the most dramatic turnaround in under a second.

Only one person has called me that IRL. And, he's done it multiple times. It's a railroad engineer I work with. I'm a conductor, so we ride in locomotive cabs together occasionally. He's an LSU fan.
I don't really care, but it still is kinda weird to me, because I'm born and raised in Louisiana. And, regardless of the fact that I've been a Bama fan as long as I can remember, I would think that you can't really be a Gump without being an Alabama native.
