Does every SEC sports fan hate every single national sports announcer?

I've lived in Baton Rouge and Birmingham for many years and one thing all fans have in common.
They love to bitch about the announcers.
What's the deal? Do people really feel these guys are pulling for/showing favoritism for some teams and not others?
In my opinion guys like Vern, Danielson, Brando ect are pretty unbiased announcers.
Are there any college sports announcers y'all like? (excluding home team announcers)

I enjoy Kyle Peterson and some other ESPN anouncers, but we get those a handful of times a year. While in football you get CBS guys every weekend with the exception of cupcakes and an occasional game.
ESPN > CBS big time.

The only one I don't really like is Brando simply because he's not good at it. And he just comes across as a jackass. I do like Gary and Verne. My favorites are Nessler and Musberger.

If you've watched Verne and can't agree that he's terrible, then I question your taste in announcers.

Brando is anything but unbiased.
Vern and Gary just jump on whatever bandwagon is happening in a given year. Plus, Vern just calls the game like a nursing home resident.

I like Kirk Herbstreit. Brando sucks arse. Vern is terrible. Danielson is less terrible.

I used to love listening to finebaum on Monday afternoons after a big Bama win.
You would think the fans would be happy and want to talk about the win.... Nope

Because he's Verne Lundquist, been around since the 70s, made some pretty memorable calls, is highly recognizable, and is a National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Famer.
And he hasn't always been terrible. But in the last, say, 5-10 years he's just gotten to be awful.

That's because we've got some of the most annoying sidewalk fans in all of sports. Even worse, many our dumbest and most annoying sidewalk fans insist on calling in to Finebaum and other talk shows and bitch about something. Some of them have absolutely NO sense of humor.

I like Todd Blackledge. His partner Nessler is too much of a smartass for me. He doesn't miss a chance to pick on the refs taking too long to decide on a play. Verne (and yeah it's Verne, dammit, not Vern) is probably past his prime, but I have a soft spot for him as he was the local Dallas guy reporting on the Cowboys in my youth in Texas. Danielson is OK other than having a Bama fetish, but he still calls 'em pretty well I think. Short version is I reject the OP's premise.
