This is a good get for a G5 school. I like trying to stay in the region as much as possible for these type of games.

Mostly I just want to play Texas State before Fran gets fired
It'll have to happen soon b/c he is 64 years old. If we assume he can last 6 more years here is what their schedule looks like compared to ours.
Assuming neither team has a cancellation in '16 the earliest it could happen in is 2017 which would be year 6 for Fran in his second stint at SW Texas Normal Teachers College.
Honestly, I doubt Fran would be down with playing A&M in a regular season game. I wouldn't be shocked if he was still bitter about how everything went down when he was coaching for TAMC.

The last time we played nt it was at cowboys stadium. One of their spirit squad guys tried to pick a fight with the head drum major and quickly had 400+ Pissed BQ's surrounding him trying to take his head off. Security escorted the guy out before it got bad. Was funny to see happen.

What's even funnier are the NT fans on the Internet acting dumbfounded as to why they couldn't get a return game

Seriously?
They just better be glad they're gonna get to see new Kyle. Ingrates

Let 'em keep talking and we'll put all 23 of their fans on the roof of one of the canopies

while amusing, I can't imagine whoever said this is serious or the opinion is widespread. UNT hasn't had a home game vs a P5 team in ages and they don't have one on any future schedule. I think their stadium in Denton only seats like 30k.

So apparently we've added ULM, Prarie view a&m, and Nichols state in the future. Is this official?

Is one of those FCS teams in 2016? I notice we're still missing our September rent-a-win
Here's a look at future FCS cupcake games, I assume that we'll end up with a school that doesn't already have a payday game in 2016, which means Lamar, Prarie View, Incarnate Word, Texas Southern, or someone from farther afield like Arkansas-Pine Bluff
My vote goes to TSU so we finally get to see Derrick Griffin at Kyle Field
EDIT: Awwww, it's just Prarie View

The way John Fugitt handled it was textbook.
Jackass grabbed his whistle and John simply said, "that's the last time you touch me". Clay Kennedy and company took care of the rest

Texas A&M will host the ULM Warhawks at Kyle Field in College Station on Nov. 17, 2018. The Aggies will pay the Warhawks a $1.4 million guarantee for the game, according to a copy of the contract obtained from TAMU by FBSchedules.com.
The Aggies and the Warhawks have met three times on the gridiron, most recently last season in College Station. Texas A&M won all three meetings — 31-17 in 1985, 54-14 in 2007, and 21-16 in 2014.
ULM is a member of the Sun Belt Conference. Late last month, it was also learned that Texas A&M will host North Texas in 2017. The Aggies will pay the Mean Green $1.25 million for that contest.
Texas A&M has also tentatively completed their non-conference schedules in 2016 and 2017 with the addition of two FCS teams. The Aggies will host the Prairie View A&M Panthers on Sept. 10, 2016 and the Nicholls State Colonels on Sept. 9, 2017.
Prairie View A&M will receive a $450,000 guarantee for visiting Kyle Field, while Nicholls State will get $550,000, according to contracts for both games.
Interesting that it's almost a $1 million cheaper to play an FCS team.

buried in a press release that announced a 3 game Rice/Texas series
LINK
Only have two OOC games set up for 2019 w/a game at Clemson and one vs UTSA at Kyle. Could be that we have simply bought out an away game to bring give us another home game or it could be that we are going to a 9 game SEC slate. Either way, losing a game vs an old SWC opponent so we can get a home game against somebody like Long Beach St bites.

The game at NRG in 2019 will replace a previously announced matchup with Texas A&M, which requested to release the slot on its schedule due to a scheduling conflict.
