Auburn fans trying to say they expect 9-3? Seriously?

The team was an epic dumpster fire last year, not only 0-8 in the SEC but got absolutely demolished in so many games.

While Chizik was a gigantic joke, it wasn't ALL his fault, clearly there are some major personnel issues.

Coaches, particularly system coaches like Malzahn, need time to get the system going.

I think a realistic prediction is 7-5. They'll win their cupcake games and maybe a few conference games and go to the weedeater bowl or something, which compared to last year should be welcome

Who's THIS guy?!?!

You obviously don't know anything about the games Auburn played or their personnel...

Auburn lost by 7 to Clemson, 2 to LSU, The Arky game was 10-7 in the 4th before a trick play and a Mike Blakely fumble, The Ole Miss game was 27-20 LATE in the 4th, The Vandy was a 4pt loss....Only demolitions were TAM, UGA, and Bama.

As far as Malzahn needing time, umm dumbass, he recruited ALL these players to Auburn to run his system...they knew HIS system, not Scot Loeffler's, which lead to the dumpster fire...

Get your knowledge weight up...till then I can't take you seriously

Or you have the GTFOH option...

Yeah, just GTFOH.

Except he made drastic changes in 2009 from the dumpster fire of an offense that Auburn fielded in 2008. Not to mention, nearly all of these players are his recruits, and nearly all have already played in the system. It's not like he's installing a system into a team that's never ran anything of the like.

Agreed.

Golden Nugget early lines for AU:

WASHINGTON ST.
AUBURN -11½

MISSISSIPPI ST. -1
AUBURN

AUBURN
LSU -18

AUBURN
TEXAS A&M -24

AUBURN
ARKANSAS -3½

AUBURN
TENNESSEE -8

GEORGIA -15
AUBURN

ALABAMA -24
AUBURN

ETA: I'd have to assume based on the other lines available that AU would be at least a touchdown underdog vs Ole Miss. The three other non-con games I'd assume AU would be a double digit favorite.

It's still recent success, as you have relied heavily on with your posts

I wouldn't say I relied heavily on recent success; its just another factor. Sometimes a team has another's # . Kinda like Au and MSST. If I was heavily really relying on recent success then state would be favored by me but nope, Au has their # . Plus, recent success isn't just a one year deal like TAM beating Bama once. I consider it the past few years 3-5 which is why I discount that with TAM vs Bama and not Ark vs Au. Ark has beat Au 4 of 5 which can lead to a mental road block.

Au doesn't have a great talent advantage over Ark like you want to believe, the play on the field has proven that Au talented classes were vastly overrated. Ark has some talent, especially at QB. I don't think CBB totally change up the offense this year, he will work towards a more power game but will adjust to the current players skill set. He's a good and proven coach.

It's really naive, homerish or stubborn sunshine pumping to think that there is no way for Au to lose this game like you stated.

I hope Au wins more than 6 games but that's what I think the season turns out to be and would be a step in the right direction after a 0 SEC win season.

Your opinion is completely worthless after having said this.

Ask them about the quarterback position.

Why are you crying? I think the games a toss up with Ark having a few advantages that would give them a slightly higher % to win.

Keep your head up, it will be another rough year but Au will win more games this year than last year. I know it's a tough pill to swallow, the fact that Au will lose for the 3rd year in a row to the biggest rivals UGA, Bama, LSU plus add in another loss to the newcomer AG school TAM and 2 more for a 6&6 season. But you need to look for the positives and be thankful for winning OOC games and beating 2 of MSST/UT/Ark/OM and not finishing dead arse last in the SEC for a 2nd year in a row. Positive thinking is powerful medicine just don't overdose and lose sight of reality.

Why do you have to write a mini novel for just about every post in response to others?

9 wins (including a bowl game) is possibility... but we'd have to sweep the mississippi schools and the two winnable road games -- UT and Ark. I highly doubt that happens.

Depending on how both seasons play out, I could see us having a shot at home vs. UGA... but until further notice, that game's not winnable either.

Using a crayon to write your BS would just confuse the Bama fans. Better stick to the regular font and give them a chance.

It would need to be picture story with minimal words consisting of greater than 2 syllables.

I think auburn surprises a lot of people this year. Gus is a smart dude. My buddy recently helped on a ford commercial with gus in it, and he said gus could have cared less about some spot light, that he looked and seemed very focus on winning games when chatting about the season. Good luck Tigers,
