What's up with Florida Basketball?

I mean, I understand Kentucky, and Florida is a pretty good basketball program, but does Donovan really make more than Muschamp or Jimbo? I can't see how Florida State or Miami's BBall coach would make more than Donovan, so I guess it would have to be him.
Also, Lol at Conneticut's highest state employee being a women's basketball coach. New Hampshire is also the only state with the highest paid coach not being basketball or football.
To be honest though, this map makes me sad for America. We have what, 10 states where the highest paid state employee isn't in college athletics?

The only things missing from your post to make it the most 'Merican thing ever is a big tittied blonde riding a bald eagle while holding a shotgun and a Bud Light.

Thousands of people aren't paying lot's of money and networks aren't willing to shell out millions of dollars to watch a college professor or president do his job every week.

Let's use LSU as an example. LSU has what, 30Kish students? Let's say every year 15% of those 30K students graduate, so around 45000 students a year. Assuming nobody ever gets promoted, and everybody makes average income, 4500 people now average 51K a year instead of 28K a year(According to this link), or about a 23K difference. Lets say 80% of those students stayed in Louisiana. The Louisiana economy just made 82.8 Million more dollars than they would have had those 3600 kids worked straight out of high school. Assuming the average person works 40 years and then retires, that person made $920,000 dollars more for the rest of their lives. Or, the 4500 people graduating class of LSU made 4140 Million dollars more than they would have with a high school diploma. Can you say one college coach puts more money into the economy then that?

uh...yeah he makes more than Muschamp.
3rd in SEC wins behind Rupp and Dale Brown.
He made Florida basketball. 2 national titles, 3 FF's, 6 Elight 8's.
What has Muschamp done?
Perhaps all y'all broke-arse basketball programs should pay more.

Yeah, Donovan deserves it. When Muschamp has a crystal ball in the trophy case he may jump ahead but Donovan has earned every penny he gets, and then some.

Donovan at $3.5MM ties Spurrier who is the 3rd highest paid football coach in the SEC.
Maybe the rest of your cheapskates should try a little harder in hoops.

Is this supposed to be a flame?
Yes, Donovan is paid more than Muschamp, and deservedly so.

I support the Florida posters here. Donovan has 2 titles. Muschamp doesn't even have an SEC Title. Not saying Muschamp is a bad coach though.
Also UCONN's womens Basketball coach Geno Auriemma deserves it as well. If you don't believe that then you don't know sports.

Muschamp lost to Louisville. Louisville. He's lucky the hockey coach at Florida doesn't get paid more.

Kentucky lost to Western Kentucky? What is your point?
Louisville made a BCS Bowl and has a pretty good quarterback.

My point is people wondering why Donovan made more money. I thought it was obvious, but I guess not.

Or it sounds like your little rivalry has you blind to the fact that Louisville was a good team.
I mean Kentucky wasn't even the 3rd best team in their state last year.
No wonder Cal makes more money. But it's also the history and the National Title he has.

You are knocking Muschamp for losing to Louisville in the BCS Bowl. So pretty much you were.
