We aren't adding Texas. We need new media footprints.

I would hate to add them, but they add more TV sets and money than anyone else we could add. A&M does not account for all of Texas.

Louisville - West

HELL no. We already have big brother in that state. UofL brings nothing to the table that Kentucky doesn't already.

If the SEC goes to 16, it adds Va or Va Tech and NC State.

16 teams are just way too many for once conference. The WAC tried it long ago and it didn't work well.

You've been brainwashed

ETA: I still agree, though. I've probably been brainwashed too

Well no ACC team will be added anymore since they have given their media rights to the Conference until 2027? I believe ... so I think expansion will die down for a little while unless we want to move west or north and I don't think we'll do that so .............

Contracts are bought out or renegotiated everyday. I am sure that in the fine print the schools included in it that if it is seen as advantageous for them to split they can leave. The contracts are negotiated with the conference. Not the individual schools.

And in Mississippi you can't sue a state institution. I am sure we are not the only state that protected ourselves in this manner v

If you want to get rid of two it has to be from states that have two teams.

you dont want to lose Vandy b/c they are a private school and that helps keeps conference negotiations free of FIOA requests.

So the teams up for dumping are Tennessee, Auburn, and either Miss State or Ole Miss.

If we are going to add teams, I'd go with UNC and either UVA or OU. UNC is the no brainer choice. Then I would be fine with either UVA or OU at 16.

If we are talking about kicking 2 teams out, I'm going with Mizzou and MSU. The state of Mississippi is too small to have two schools, so one needs to go. And Mizzou is an easy choice for me since they are new, haven't really proven anything competitively yet, and are a cultural outliner. I think we need to keep aTm no matter what, if for no other reason than having a school from the state of Texas.

frick you. We all are something you will never be. A charter member. We can't be forced out. But there are four schools that can be. Care to know which four?
