From a market standpoint the places that make sense are North Carolina and Virginia, so that means UNC (or possibly NC State) and either UVA or Va. Tech. All four of those schools are locked up tight in the ACC, which basically means there are not any schools worth adding.

From a strictly cultural standpoint, Clemson and FSU are the two best choices. But they don't add markets and they are also locked into the ACC.

The SEC catch 22 with the ACC.

Louisville does not draw a base from Indy. Thats absurd. Louisville is primarily a commuter school from kids within the city and its immediate area. There are also some from around the state who end up there because they receive full academic rides.

They also aren't even the majority in their own city. Kentucky still holds the majority of the fan base.

no.... stop saying Oklahoma.... they didn't secede in the 1860s (still a territory then), they don't get in.

Kick Mizzou out of SEC and add UNC and Duke in the East.

Add La. Tech in the West. (that should piss off the LSU dynasty in Louisiana)

I like to see 2 of these teams:

One from each group. Listed from most wanted to least wanted.

Group A
1.UNC
2. NC State
3. Duke

Group B
1. Virginia
2. Clemson
3. Virginia Tech

Wacky Wildcard List

1. Okie State
2. SMU
3. Rice
4. Georgia Tech
5. TCU
6. FSU
7. OU

If I had my choices:

1A.UNC & Virginia
Or
1B.NC State & Virgina

I would hate to add them, but they add more TV sets and money than anyone else we could add.

You act like they would share that money.

We aren't adding Texas or OU. Please stop bringing them up. It doesn't add anything to the discussion, it is just clutter.

I'd say either

1. Virginia Tech or Virginia
2. North Carolina or NC State

I like Clemson's history and style, but they bring no new territory.

FSU - See above.

GT - See above.

A&M will take over the state of Texas now that they are in the SEC. Smart move by A&M.

Okie and Okie State blow.

Louisville makes no sense.

Like Duke being a Vandy guy, but doesn't bring much money-wise.

West Virginia is the dumbest idea ever.

What? I like TCU. Patterson is a top five coach right now, and TCU is probably the Texas team with the best fans to have a conversation with.

Lets see how he does next year. His first year in a real league didn't go as well.

Yeah, both of them are pretty smart guys.

It's gonna be either NC State or UNC from NC and either UVA or VA Tech from Virginia.

The question is, who is more preferable from each state?

If you want to get rid of two it has to be from states that have two teams.

you dont want to lose Vandy b/c they are a private school and that helps keeps conference negotiations free of FIOA requests.

So the teams up for dumping are Tennessee, Auburn, and either Miss State or Ole Miss.

Hey frick Stick.....You have no clue about this conference. You aren't a charter member. Start losing and see if you don't get tossed like yesterday's trash.

charter memberships means frick all if we are playing this game. the need for the newer 4 members TV sets for the SECN would trump the fact that you have been in the conference forever. and since you were a baby about it, Miss State is the first school to be booted. Now its down to Auburn and Tennessee.

Your chump asses will be gone long before any charter members.
