Speaking of billboards that aren't very reassuring, this is a new billboard that they put up coming into Memphis.

So if I'm reading it right, if I turn in my guns, I get to run a casino out of my basement? You have a deal, government

The only thing this does is furthermore diminish my trust in the government. I'll take my chances with my guns loaded.

Then the sign is working.

I'm all for this. Like HJJ said, it's the fricking truth.

So what is the complaint?

"Don't show us history! We don't like it." ?

"That's not fair - the government has changed since then." ?

I feel a kindred spirit among this group ... as if I have found people that I might mentor to and find contentment in the process.

All hail ye lovers of our Constitution ... for without the 2nd we shall not keep the 1st.

Pro-gun billboard featuring Native Americans causing controversy in Colorado

Media Matters left leaning view

The billboard obviously hits home on several levels.

1 - take our guns and take away our 2nd amendment rights.

2 - our government has a history of lying to people ... our government cannot be trusted.

3 - our government has a history of not keeping its promises.

It has to go-down as one of the most thought provoking, provocative, billboards of any kind in history.

Doesn't bother me at all. I work with a conservative full blood American Indian and it doesn't bother him at all.

His quote, "Great billboard! If we're not careful history will repeat itself, but on a much larger scale."

Makes me think of those who complain about illegal immigration and who are the immigrants. We all are except those on the billboard.
