for some reason the alabama people just can't seem to ever give the other team credit. It's the disease of classlessness and it starts with the head coach. Pretty sad.
Kind of like how LSU has never lost a game....the refs always stole it.

Not recent, but 78 Orange Bowl against Oklahoma. We had 3-4 starters suspended, were 16pt underdogs. The Hogs kicked the crap out of them.
I think Sales is still running.

Or thats its unfair because their schedule is hard.

First Aggie game I ever watched at Kyle. 2002 OU upset.

LSU/UA 1993 is the one that stands out most in my mind...though LSU/UF 1997 was more pleasing personally.

5 missed FGs where all FGs missed were due to penalties or flat out blown assignments after getting deep into opponent's territory
that seems idiotic
one field goal attempt was outright blocked and none of the missed field goals were chip shots. Bama for the year hit as many of their 40 plus yard field goals as they did that night... put another way it was not a bad performance by Bama's field goal kicker - it was a typical performance for him considering their statistics for the year as a whole from that distance

1999 LSU was winless in the SEC and inexplicably pounded the hell out of a decent Arkansas team.
That's obviously not as memorable/significant as the 97 Florida/LSU game though

Alabama 40, Florida 39. 1999. Dubose over Spurrier at the Swamp just a week or two removed from losing to La. Tech.
Even bigger was Alabama thrashing Florida 34-7 in the '99 SECCG. Most expected UF to get revenge in the (gasp) rematch.
Spurrier went 0-2 vs Dubose in 1999. Biggest upset I can think of in SEC football. It'd be like John L. Smith beating Nick Saban twice in one year.

I pick LSU over Fla. 1997, although it was at home. But, considering the Gators domination over the Tigers in the years leading up to it, I have to go with this. I was there and have to say Herb Tyler is still my favorite LSU QB.
On just a pure upset criteria, I would have to say LSU over Arkansas in the 1966 Cotton Bowl. The Hogs were the defending National Champs and had the longest win streak in the nation at 22. No one gave the Tigers a chance in that one.

It was a home game, but defeating Alabama when they were ranked #1 back in 2010 was the most surprising win. It seems as though since we won that game, the whole attitude and level of expectation has improved vastly.

Let me go ahead and piss off my own fan base by saying '12 Ole Miss. For 14 years we have lost those games with too many turnovers and being down late in the game, never been so suprised to beat a shitty team in all my life.

Beating UGA in Athens in 2011. Didn't think we could combat their momentum on the road plus that MI6 fake came out of nowhere. Historically maybe N Mex St after we were 0-21... it had been so damn long.

Was not surprised at all by that game. SC was legit and I think many of the fans knew it as well. Didn't think we would get curb stomped.like that but thought we would lose.

I was there on the 40 in the East Lower. Bet the farm on Bama. Despite that, one of the happiest moments of my entire life leaving the stadium. Alshon.

1999 Alabama Vs Florida in the Swamp.

Easily 1922 @Penn or the 1926 Rose Bowl vs Washington.

2004 vs FSU...not so much in terms of spread, but considering Zook had been fired earlier and to see those kids play hard for the W. Hell, Spurrier couldn't beat FSU in Tallahassee either, so that's another aspect, too.
