Does anyone have any personal connections with Mizzou players past/present?

I've always wondered just how many people know the guys out there personally, as I have met a ton who have.
Personally, my godfather is Doug McGee (1980's DL), and his daughter is dating Earnest Payton.
I was also cool with Carl Gettis in hs, and T.J. Moe and I both dated the same girl.

A couple of my fraternity brothers are very close friends with Corbin Berkstresser. I've met him a couple times.

Nope, other than my dad was on the team for about 24 hours before he quit and went back to basketball. That was back in the early Devine days. No one recent.

This is going back alittle but our HS FB coach was an OL at Mizzou. It had to be during late 70's early 80's era. Cool guy.

I dated a DL for the football team, who once lifted his Camaro off a median I drove it onto.

I wouldn't call it a connection, but my son is friends with the youngest Gabbert, and plays with/against him in the different sports, so I've run into the two older brothers on occasions at the ballparks. It made it awkward when no one, including his own brother, was drafting Blaine in the kid's fantasy football league last year.
Also have a good friend who is neighbors with a former Mizzou commit who is now no longer committed to Mizzou, so I've sat around and shot the shite with that former commit and his dad at different games.
Wouldn't consider any of them a "connection" though. Just people ya run into on occasion.

I once used a urinal after chase daniel..
Uncle played safety on late 60s early 70s teams, led team in picks as a jr.
Friends dad held TD record at MU for bowl games until Tony Temple broke it.

I helped Lamont Frazier up once when he slipped on the ice by the law school early one winter morning.

Know a person that was on the coaching staff about 5yrs ago. He use to hang out at my place with one of my cousin around 2000-20001.

I hung out with the head BB coach once. The one before CMA. Don't recall the year exactly, but before drama so I'm thinking 2001 or 2002. Hit some bar off of campus after a football game and then hung out on his patio that evening. I got some basketball tickets through him a time or two as well. My connection was through a friend of a friend though and it petered out eventually.

The dad of a guy I played soccer with when I was in grade school played for Mizzou and the son (that I played soccer with) is being recruited by Mizzou (Drew Lock, QB and also plays basketball). His mom also was my one of my teachers in middle school.

I really hope we get him, seems like a great athlete.. hopefully he is a lock. :rimshot:
