I really don't understand how recruits can buy that whole "playing time" argument.
Really? You don't understand why a guy would hestitate to go play for a team with like 7 high 4-5 star players at a position where one, maybe two, can be on the field at a time?

He reminds me of an Alabama poster, but I can't quite place my finger on who...
He's familiar, though.

From even before spring practice started, certain mods were saying that Cooper was standing out amongst the early enrollees and could have an impact freshman year.
I just remember Nick Saban mentioning Chris Black by name at Crimson Caravan. He only does that after a player has graduated or if a player really sticks out in his mind. Cooper was mentioned, too, but only after Black was brought up.

I think we can both agree that, at this point, Cooper is a proven commodity and Black is a question mark. Truly elite WRs are a rare breed; if we signed 2 of them in the same class, then no one will be happier than me, but I'm going to wait until there's more proof than 1 catch in a practice game and 1 mention at CC.

Chris Black is that good.
Bama's WR depth for 2013 is the best in the country. It is simply insane.

Woah killer. U are too hyped about that. How can u say that a player that's never played in a game is an elite receiver? In all actuality he's probably not as good as Cooper. I'm not doubting that he's good though, he was top 10 for a reason. And the depth at receiver for y'all is good but not close to the best in the country. Y'all have a really good #1 guy and then 2 maybe 3 above average receivers in Black, Foster, and Bell behind him. The rest are just average but not bad receivers. Don't get me wrong though its good depth, some of the best in the SEC but not the country.

No, Bama absolutely has the best WR depth in the entire country

Alabama very well could have the best receiver depth in the country, but some of it is based on potential. Amari Cooper is already considered one of top WR in the country and he's only a true sophmore. Kevin Norwood, Deandrew White, Christian Jones, and Kenny Bell are solid players and they could start for alot of teams in the country.
The potential comes in with first with Marvin Shinn. I don't know what light came on during the BCS champ game preparations but he did something to earn playing time in that game. Then next you have Chris Black who we've heard good things about and a 5 star in Robert Foster. You could also include OJ Howard in the discussion because of his speed and size he could create matchup problems.

GTFO...that's all potential, not much is proven.

Cooper, Norwood, Bell, Jones, and to a lesser extent White are all proven commodities. Shinn had a decent game against Notre Dame and Chris Black is supposed to be legit. Our depth at WR is no joke as we lost White and Bell last season due to injuries and didn't skip a beat.
