Question: How many of you are from the Houston/Texas area?

This past weekend I made a trip out to see some friends that live in Houston and was overwhelmed by how many Ole Miss people are from there or living there now.
My friend is actually from Memphis like me but his GF is origanally from Houston so now they live there. Most of her friends I knew but what shocked were the others that went to Ole Miss the same time as me that I had never met.
Anyway after this experience I made a mental note to come on here and ask how many of you are from/live in Houston or Texas for the matter?
TIA

I don't know I have met some from Jackson, MS that might be the worst people on the face of the planet ... well that is if they were able to touch this place called earth.
Bad people everywhere no reason to group everyone together IMO.

From Austin... there were probably like 20 kids from Austin that also went to Ole Miss my freshman year.
I don't really keep up with any of them anymore, a lot of them were complete shite heads and I'd say over half of them failed out, then went back to Austin for a year and then ended up at Tech.
But first coming here I never expected all of the Houston and Dallas area people that are here. There's also surprisingly a good amount of San Antonio kids and panhandle kids.

Yeah I had quite a few friends from San Antonio ... but I don't Know I tended to get along well with the Texas kids because I myself lived in Dallas for awhile so I guess it was a natural connection.
Oh yeah there were a lot from Sugarland as well especially the girls

POCKET get back to work.
Also Houston is pretty cool, I would live here again. Also UT people are the worst. And the fact that we got raped by them doesn't help.

That's fine. Hate on Texans if you want; we don't care. Just make sure you stay the frick out of our state.
We've got enough people moving here as it is.

Well I am not a bedazzled shirt wearing wannabe cowboy so you're welcome, I won't be moving to Fort Worth.

You're thinking of Austin, not Fort Worth.

Yeah I never got that feeling really from Ft. Worth.
I understand what you mean but still I never really felt that way about them. Also Austin is less flamboyant cowboy and more like a Cali, Oregon or Colorado hipster to me.
Anyway I personally enjoy Texas and wouldn't mind moving back out there now while I'm a young professional.
Then move back to the Oxford area to retire when I'm older so I can be that old dude sitting on City Grocery patio drinking wofford reserve on the rocks.
