It was the second trip to jail for Williams this week. Tuscaloosa police charged him with carrying a pistol without a license on Sunday after a disturbance at the BP gas station on The Strip.
“A clerk in the store told police that Williams came into the store and was acting erratic and threating that he had something in the trunk of his vehicle after a dispute about paying for gas,” TPD Sgt. Brent Blankley said in a release. “The suspect and other occupants of the vehicle left the store and began messing with something in the trunk. The clerk then called the police.”
Officers stopped the 2007 Honda Accord at Second Avenue and University Boulevard, he said.
Williams was sitting in the back seat on the passenger side. Officers patted him down and found a pistol in his pants pocket, Blankley said. He was charged with carrying a pistol without a license and later released on $500 bond.
I'd be willing to bet these were the same guys that committed the robberies with Williams.

Calloway is on a different level though. The others are high, he is blazed. And obviously was very hungry as well.

Three University of Alabama football players admitted to attacking a student and knocking him unconscious during an early morning robbery on the University of Alabama campus on Monday.
According to arrest warrants, D.J. Pettway, Eddie Williams and Tyler Hayes punched a student's head and face and kicked him in the ribs and back area.
Williams and Hayes admitted to the attack, which caused cuts to the victim's face, a mild concussion and severe swelling, according to the warrants.
The player said that they stole the victim's backpack, which contained his Apple laptop computer.
In a second robbery, Williams admitted to police that he punched a student's head and face while Pettway and Hayes stood by and watched. He said that he stole the student's wallet and later used his student identification card to buy snacks from a vending machine in the football player's dorm.
A fourth player, running back Brent Calloway, 20, was also charged with fraudulent use of a credit card. Hayes, 18, was charged with two counts of third-degree robbery. Pettway, 20, was charged with second-degree robbery, while Williams, 20, was second-degree robbery and fraudulent use of a credit card.

All 5 are important. Thought Bama only recruited the best , now it's they were t that important.
I don't know who the hell the Hayes kid is, Williams would have been a great contributor, Calloway may have contributed in more than special teams play, Pettaway would have contributed down the road at some point - they fricked up "their" lives, they did not frick up Alabama football.

Are any of these guys important? I don't recognize the names
Calloway's projected to be the starting h-back but it's the h-back position. It's not that important of a position. Pettway would probably be the biggest loss since Saban likes to rotate in a lot of guys at DL and he was going to get a good amount of playing time. Still, he's only a second-string backup. None of these guys are critical to the success of the team.

iirc none of our million arrests last year involved violence (just stupidity)- does that not up the fulmer points? it should, drastically, imo.

Nah, this makes room for Bama to get back within the 85 scholly mark, like so many of you said, they're scrubs. If they were starters, we would have never known about this.

TUSCALOOSA _ Four University of Alabama football players were arrested by University Police and booked by the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office on Monday, with three allegedly involved in attacking two students.
Eddie Williams was one of four reserve Alabama players arrested Monday, and also faces a charge from Sunday.
Linebackers Tyler Hayes and D.J. Pettway were charged with second-degree robbery, while H-back Brent Calloway was charged with fraudulent use of a credit card.
Safety Eddie Williams was charged with both crimes. On Sunday, Williams was arrested by Tuscaloosa Police and charged with carrying a pistol without a license.
According to police records, the three players involved in the attacks admitted to the theft and using the card for various purchases, including snacks in a vending machine at Bryant Hall.
On Monday, University Police sent out the following alert:
"University Police are investigating the report of two robberies that occurred on February 11, 2013, the first at approximately 12:35 am and the second at approximately 1:20 am in the 800 block of Campus Drive and the 200 block of 7th Avenue. This was Calloway's second arrest at Alabama. He charged with misdemeanor marijuana possession a in October of 201.
Calloway tweeted to a friend Monday morning: "first it wasn't a credit card and 2 I wasn't even awake during the robbery you don't kno what happened so dont try me dude."
All four players were reserves on the 2012 national championship team.
Williams was a five-star recruit out of Panama City Beach, rated No. 8 in the 2012 Top247. After moving from wide receiver to safety he redshirted last season.
D.J. Pettway, a redshirt freshman from Pensacola, Fla., played in 13 games last season, mostly on the defensive line, but was making the move to linebacker this spring. He had eight tackles four for a loss including 2½ sacks and a hurry.
As a backup linebacker and special-teams player, Hayes participated in 13 games and made 14 tackles, with one hurry as a true freshman.
As a redshirt freshman last season, Calloway played in 13 games and due to numerous injuries served as an emergency running back. He had 10 carries for 63 yards, one reception for minus-2 yards, and eight tackles on special teams. He’s expected to move back to H-back this spring.

Calloway has a chance if he can convince Saban he didn't use the stolen cards, but I doubt it.
