I've been hearing he may be the best RB prospect since Adrian Peterson. That is some pretty high praise. I've heard a lot about Sony Michel in South Florida because the recruiting relationship with him and the Dawgs. But has anyone seen Fournette live? Is the AP talk just hype?

I hear it's going to be almost impossible to sway him from the Bayou. Am I missing anything here?

Fournette is a great RB, but LSU fans are hyping him up WAY too much.

Listen, kid had 50 offers after his freshman year. His play speaks for itself.

UA has more depth at RB then they've had in years. Tough sale.

Unless LF has some infatuation with another school that we don't know of yet or someone offers a relative/girlfriend something, it's unlikely he leaves La.

Someone as good as he is isn't scared of competion. Also, if Frank Wilson leaves LSU after this season, it could get interesting.

If you watch film he's pretty much identical to TJ Yeldon a little more powerful and less shifty speedy type run style, could he be the best to come out of La in a very long time? Sure but AD comparisons are a little much IMO also it will be a battle to keep him in La a couple schools really pique his interest other than the bayou bengals and a few other schools have obviously made him a priority. I could see him ending up #3 overall player but don't think he will jump over Da'Shawn Hand & Lorenzo Carter

We'll see how well Fournette can run the ball against A'Shawn Robinson, Darius Paige, Dee Liner
Denzell Devall, Rueben Foster, Reggie Ragland, Jonathan Allen, Clinton-Dix, and Landon Collins

Fournette is going to be a stud wherever he ends up. He's no Adrian Peterson but nobody is.

Played him my senior year in HS, which was his freshman year in the 2010 season.

Anyways this was the first game of the season, and his FIRST varsity game ever as a 14/15 y/o Freshman. Anyways he didn't play until the late 1st quarter or early second and he put up over 215 yards rushing with 3 or 4 TDs. Thank goodness I played kicker because I wouldn't be able to hold this guy's shoelace. We won the game because of a heroic field goal by yours truly as time expired BUT without a doubt I knew this guy was a top 20 player in the NATION as a freshman in HS. Call me crazy but it's true.

Watch the playoff game against St. Thomas this year and you will see why the comparisons are legit.

For as much as Bama fans call us defensive, you guys sure do a pretty good job of being it yourselves.

To answer the OP: Fournette is pretty good.

Watched him play and the guy is dominant. Everyone knows he is getting the ball and he still runs over, around, and away from people.

The problem with that comparison is people compare LF to AP when he was coming out of highschool, not what he is now in the NFL, and others miss that fact. I think AP was a little faster, but LF looks like the real deal during games. He's legit. Time will tell if he is as good as previous RBs. LSU is selling out to get get him. He will be a feature back at LSU, assuming he comes here. Should he choose to go elsewhere, it would probably be the biggest rant meltdown seen to date.

Fournette is one of the best RB's to come out in a while. Folks from other places may disagree, for whatever reason, but LF is a very special player. Not sure if the comparison to AD is fair to him, or anyone else in HS.
