Do you think Alabama will win the title this season?

I think they have a great chance. The ball is in the hands of someone who put on an MVP style performance in the last title game. The coach has been there and knows what it takes to win it all. Sure, some offensive firepower from last year is now gone. But some young players will surely step up.

I look forward to seeing UA lift the trophy again out west.

I sure as hell hope not. It's terrible for the sport.

Not likely, but I am done assuming they are going to be an easy win some years. Those days are over.

It's pretty much guaranteed this year.

Easy schedule, only 2 teams with a shot to beat us, get A&M after a buy week which is after a game vs. crappy VT, get LSU after buy week and they lost tons from last year, UGA sucks.

Bama is on cruise control straight to 3 Peat town!

With their schedule, if they don't they should be embarrassed.

Their toughest game is at home with a BYE, and their second toughest game is away with a BYE in a "revenge" game.

When this question was asked after last season I exclaimed a self-assured frick NO and I knew I had the mathematical odds to back me up.

Not gonna do it again... wouldn't be prudent.

2013 was the year Bama was supposed to make another run for the title anyway...w/ the schedule, usually, on odd years being favorable...LSU at home.

2012 was supposed to be the "rebuilding year" for Bama. So the fact that they won it all in a supposed rebuilding year was just icing on the cake for Bama fans and speaks to the level that Bama is right now, and to Saban's coaching ability to replace such a heralded defense in '11 and STILL win the SEC/National Titles.

Long story short, it was more likely Bama would win another national title this year (2013) than last year (2012).

if Bama backs into another title game (rematch, #2 and #3 teams losing at the last moment, etc) I'm gonna punch a baby.

will they ever win it outright like they did in 2009?

It would be very difficult to pull off another consecutive championship but hey they've got as good a chance as any other team eligible.

No. I see a very strong west and eventual strong east opponents. Too young on the oline and too much pressure for a 3 peat. That and I don't know the odds off hand but I'm guessing a 3 peat is 2,500,000 to 1. Not good for sure

It was a great accomplishment to win the SEC's first and only NC. Ready for another! Roll tide!

They certainly have the talent, coaching and schedule to do it again. But you, and everyone, also need breaks (Cody's blocked FGs, Mulligan, K State and other losing last year) just to get in a position to play for another. Will the breaks continue? Dunno.

Cam Cameron will bring a decided schematic advantage and LSU wins going away. Now will Saban his way into another CG after the fact?

Ashley Priess had a clutch performance on beam to edge Florida and seal the National Championship for Bama last year.

The coach has been there and knows what it takes to win it all.

Sarah Patterson has won 6 National Titles. And has made the the Super Six 28 out of the last 30 years.

Sure, some offensive firepower from last year is now gone.

Losing the individual NCAA Champion on both floor (2011) and beam (2012), Geralen Stack-Eaton is going to hurt a bit.

But some young players will surely step up.

Alabama had a US National Team member, Junior Olympic National Champion and an International Elite gymnast from their last recruiting class, but that's the norm at Alabama.

Chances are no. You have been good AND lucky the last 2 years. You could just as easily have zero titles instead of 2. With that said, you have a better chance than anyone else according to Vegas.

They'll absolutely step up. They're on a championship team with, as you noted a coach that can take them all the way. We've got ball hawks that can't be beat. Our "mvp" as you call it is the best in the league and will take us all the way to the ncg for sure.
