On 104.5 they interviewed the college football "expert" from Vegas who publishes the Gold Sheet. He said that it was "all over Vegas" that both teams will be added to the SEC, and that it could be a double annoucement in mid Jan when specifics on the SEC tv network is released. Sounded pretty confident. Take that source & rumor FWIW, but that is what he said is being discussed. Guess that means bama gets another bridge yr to play UK & Miz yet again?

NC State - I'm not so sure. The Tar Heels know exactly what will happen if they allow little brother to go to the SEC while they go to the B1G. Seems a bunch of decision-makers at UNC prefer the SEC. UNC to SEC leaves Duke to the B1G and NC State to the Big12. That's the only conceivable way that they all get taken care of, IMO...Otherwise, Duke is going to be left out.

I like the SEC the way it is now. They don't need to keep adding all these other schools.

I doubt will happen, the SEC will wait out the big ten and see what it does, we win no matter what. The SEC knows the UNC coaches and fanbase and boosters want the SEC. The SEC will not take nc state until UNC has left for the big ten, no way no how. Actually believe UVA and UNC will head to the SEC. That way the academic folks are happy but the perfect thing to happen would be Va tech and UNC to the SEC... Another win for the SEC would be Duke or NC state and Va tech to the SEC. SEC waiting in the cat bird seat waiting ont he big ten and big 12... Slive is the man...

Lots of rumors about various conferences wanting to swoop in and pick off ACC member schools. I don't think the SEC to make a move until the exit fee issue is resolved by Maryland or other schools who attempt to jump ship. The Big 12 really needs to expand, with only 10 members...so...
I look for the Big 12 to start things off by going for FSU and Clemson.
Next up, the BIG issues invites to Georgia Tech and Virginia...UNC is another option for them.
The SEC gets UNC and one other ACC school.

I've been saying this all along. One of the Va schools and NC State will eventually be SEC members...
