In the excitement of pointing out my typo, did you have difficulty getting that thought out?
Keep going, you are doing a great job!

Pigimus Prime you dumb frick. Don't post about the other schools nicknames until you fricking understand their meaning.
Ole Miss' Rebels and LSU's Tigers are more related to each other than Auburn's Tigers or Mizzou's. Look it up dumbass.
Speaking of Tigers, Auburn is the Tigers, but they have a real cool yell...War Eagle! and if you ever attend one of their games whether you like them or not....the Eagle circling their stadium is damn cool.
Bama has Big Al and it has to do with the Rose Bowl in the mid 20's.....Sea of Red Elephants...
Every SEC team has a traditional reason for their nicknames and they don't need some feral fan telling us what is #1 or not.
I will tell you one thing though....biggest bust in the SEC this year? Arkansas and that my friend is what counts most.
In closing, go frick yourself.

11-13) Tigers
Three teams, really? No originality, no real connection to any of the schools whatsoever.
considering this list is coming from Ar-kansas...I'm not surprised...
the Louisiana Tigers name comes from two units in the Army of Northern Virginia, both of which came from New Orleans: The Washington Artillery and the Tiger Zouaves Infantry...
The Washington Artillery's history goes back to 1839 and is still in the order of battle of the US Army with tours in Iraq and Afghanistan...
We can also claim a tie to the Flying Tigers as their commander, Claire Chennault attended LSU...and the Flying Tiger is used by our AFROTC detachment in it's insignia....

Posts like the OPs belong on the short bus. Absolutely terrible.

This thread still sucks in case you thought otherwise

1) Razorbacks
This is by far the best mascot. It is neither over-played nor an abstraction. It is only known to be associate with our school and state. We also have a great live animal that would literally destroy others' dogs, cats, and chickens.
No bias here.

I thought maybe it had fermented into something more productive.

I felt that it was quite objective.

4) Gamecocks
Weird name but overall a fighting rooster is a pretty damn mean animal.
We derived our name from General Thomas Sumter, of Revolutionary War fame here in South Carolina, who's nickname was "The Fighting Gamecock," because of his tenacious fearless style and because he wore Gamecock feathers in the brim of his hat in battle.

Man, I was literally just trying to troll everyone when I did this. People sure got up in arms . I really do appreciate the history behind the mascots and names (and for that matter question their rank ability). This thread was actually helpful in that I learned a lot about each one as I now have yours.
