I was listening to Tiger Talk and Derek Ponamsky was doing his weekly segment and he said the it is likely to happen and NC State and Virginia Tech are the two likely to be added. He also said the B1G whatever they want to call themselves has reached out to Georgia Tech and Virginia. Then went on to say the ACC would possibly lose Florida State to the Big 12.

What is everyone else hearing???

SEC needs to take FSU and keep those bastards outta Florida.
I bet Clemson fans are gonna be pissed off about this. They sure are a prissy bunch. SEC definitely don't need them.

My opinion only but this makes more sense:

I think the ACC is safer than the Big 12 for the future.

Pac 12 will rob UT, Baylor, TCU from Big 12.
then forcing
Big 10 to rob KSU and KU from Big 12.
SEC will rob OU and OSU from Big 12.
then forcing
ACC to take WVU from Big 12.

Somewhere in between all those defection, the big 12 will go defucnt.

ACC is forced to take WVU and "forget" about those hillbillies' 'bad' academics, and small number of TV sets, due to Pac 12 forcing the dominoes to fall.

THis will make your new ACC a better conference if ND and WV join, therefore making the ACC safe, yet weakest 16 team league.

Forgot to throw in there that the Big East will lose AQ status. I am an ECU grad, but I am also realistic. ECU will enjoy the BCS sunshine for only 2 or so more years, then the Big East is on the same field as MWC, MAC, CUSA etc.

I hear Bama is insisting on a pod with NC State, Kentucky and Missou (until such time as Vany comes down to normal at which point they will be substiuted for Missou).

It was perfect at 12, I can handle 14. But 16?
Then again it is money over everything.

Geographically, the best set up would be:

NE: Tenn, UK, VT, NCState
SE: USCe, UGA, UF, AU
NW: Mizzou, Arky,Ole Miss, Vandy
SW: Bama, LSU, MSU, aTm

Why wouldn't the SEC go for these two schools?
Is it about expanding geographically or getting better sports programs?

Give Bama VaTech as their every year opponent...Or, bring in Clemson or Florida State and make them Bama's every year opponent. Damn Bama with all their preferential treatment.

The problem with the rumors sending NCSU to the SEC is the GA Tech part. UNC is the school system in that state and will not let NCSU leave the Tobacco Road crew unless it's the Tar Heels heading to the B1G...which could very well happen if they think the ACC is doomed.

Bama's division will include Vandy and Kentucky. LSU's division will include A&M and Auburn. Bet the farm on it.
