People always want to put an asterisk on this win, and say "UGA won the game...BUT, florida had 6 turnovers". As if turnovers shouldn't count for some reason. Well here's a list of UF's 6 turnovers.

1Q- Swann came on a corner blitz from Driskell's left. He hit JD, who fumbled, and Jarvis recovered.

1Q- Jordan Jenkins got to JD, who spun out of the tackle when Jarvis hit him. JD attempted to pitch at the same time and fumbled, we recover.

2Q- right before half, JD is scrambling right out of pressure and throws the ball in a group of about 8 players, where Rambo intercepts. [Btw, Murray threw an equally as bad pick in the 1Q to our TE who was triple covered]

3Q- CWashington bullrushed a UF tackle back into JD and also got a hand on JD as he was throwing, result was a lame duck that Swann picked off

3Q- Trey Burton hit in the backfield and was going backwards, ball was stripped and Jarvis recovered

4Q- Jordan Reed had the ball and was running to the endzone, when Jarvis punched the ball out from behind that we recovered.

So there ya go. Yeah UF had 6 turnovers, but it's not like they just got the ball and then dropped it on the ground. Our defense was nasty and caused those turnovers. I'd also like to point out for those that say "UGA only won by 8 with UF having 6 turnovers", let's not forget Murray had 3 picks as well. One of which was in the 2Q while we were up 7-0 and on UF's 10 yard line. If not for those picks it could have been a rout.

So let's finally put this "YEAH, BUT, WELL..." thing to rest.

about half of those seems to be fortunate plays.

you cant count on any team committing 6 turnovers

I remember at least 3 of those turnovers being UF's fault.....completely self inflicted

The asterisk by some, is simply that many teams don't respect Georgia or feel like they should have a shot at playing for the nc.

Get blown the frick out by USCjr, then barely squeak by UF by 1 possession when they had 6 turnovers.......play for NC

Wait, so Driskel didn't just hand the ball off to JJ

Uga's defense came to play. Jarvis was a monster. You guys beat us fair and square.

Will you just let us bitch about something please? You peter spanked by the cocks and we wish we were in ATL. We aren't brining anything up saying you don't belong, so just go win the damn game, why don't you?

Yes, I mad. I have this stupid signature for a year, so I should be mad.

People aren't claiming that Georgia didn't create the turnovers, they're saying that when you create that many turnovers that you should blow the other team out.

Yeah it happens. If UF fans think turnovers cost them the UGA game I don't know how they don't think they cost SC the game vs UF.

Congrats UGA, a phenomena of 10 turnovers in 2 games allowed you to slip into the SECCG again.

But see, when South Carolina forces turnovers (2011) they are considered "gifts".

Love it.

UGA had a +3 in turnovers against UF, and they still wound up with 10 less Offensive plays, 69 to 59

For a founding member Georgia sure does have acceptance issues.

I just rewatched the UGA/SC game. We still won 35-7.

Here is the point:

1) Alabama is better than Florida in EVERY aspect of the game. Particularly on offense.

2) Georgia wouldn't have won that game without the turnovers.

3) Alabama does not turn the ball over very much and will not have 6 turn overs in tomorrow's game.

Therefore, if Georgia is banking on a performance like they had against Florida to get them past Alabama, they are in for a big disappointment.

Why do you care? Insecurity? You are playing for a shot at the NC, which UF has no shot at. Why are you looking for validity in your win over UF?

How did you watch that horrible game again. I wasted 3.5 hours watching it the first time. It was like watching a pillow fight for 3 hours. Neither team wanted the win.
