mwlewis Are Florida fans excited about possibly facing Louisville or Kent State? Florida is good but your offense would struggle against both of those teams IMO.
No
Louisville would be OK, playing kent state would suck, but I'm happy our players get to play in the sugar.
I'm praying for a miracle that will send Florida to the fiesta to play UO. Won't happen, but dreaming is free.

So this means, Oregon is top 4 and automatically in.
No. Florida will likely be #3. Only the HIGHEST ranked non-auto qualifier is guaranteed a spot, assuming they are in the top 4. This is why LSU was not guaranteed a spot in '06, even though we were ranked #4. Michigan was #3 and thus was the only non-auto qualifier guaranteed an at-large selection.

Kent State will slip into the auto-bid 16 spot
And would likely go to the BCS bowl with the last selection, which I believe is the Orange.
The Gators will almost certainly play Oklahoma in the Sugar Bowl.

I thought the Orange was the last selection. I just think its ridiculous that Florida could be playing either Louisville or Kent State depending on who selects first.

We are as excited as LSU fans going to Atlanta for the Chic Fil A Bowl game on New Yrs Eve...wow, what a consolation prize...think they give away a few coupons for free sandwiches to the players...somehow I think the purple and gold wont travel too well for this juggernaut bowlgame.
Enjoy the sights and sounds of Atlanta and dont forget to go to Varsity and get some onion rings

As a Florida fan I am extremely excited to be back in a BCS bowl after a two years absence and going 15-11 the previous two seasons.
The Sugar Bowl picks second this year and the Fiesta first.
Winner of Big 12 will get an auto Fiesta bid, and then the Fiesta will immediately select Oregon.
Sugar will select louisville, which would actually be an OK match up.
10-2 Louisville vs. 11-1 Florida isn't so bad, especially if Louisville has time to get healthy. Bridgewater is legit. Also the Charlie Strong storyline. Things could be worse.

Florida is a really good team.
And when a team turns the ball over a bunch to them, their offense is very good at capitalizing off of those mistakes.
When FL overcomes the adversity on the field, they are a tough team to beat.

Kent State would go to the Orange Bowl. FSU would end up play them. Florida will go to the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma or Kansas State.

There is no chance Florida plays Kent State. The only BCS Bowl Kent State will play in is the Orange Bowl vs the ACC Champion.
Also, Oklahoma has been talking to Fiesta Bowl officials. If they win, they want the Fiesta Bowl to pass on the automatic bid they have and allow them to play in the Sugar (Which sets up a UF-UO Fiesta Bowl).

Oklahoma is projected to play Florida.
I'd be pretty excited about that rematch.

I'm not... Those fans in the NCG were the worst...
Rather play Oregon, Louisville, or Kansas State than them.

Agree about OU fans. Went to the title game in 2003, they are pretty irritating.
