No way I would come back and let Spurrier abuse him like he did his FR year.

After what Lattimore did to UF that year I can see why you think that.

Most expect Clowney to leave after next season too. It'll be rough losing both to 1 draft class but with his injuries in a profession that has a short life I can't blame him for trying to bring in some serious dough while he still can.

Uh...most? Clowney is going to be the #1 draft pick. He would be insane to come back.

if he doesn't make it in the NFL (making a roster, etc.). USC, the SEC should give him some sort of compensation.

It is a business decision. I wish him the best. South Carolina will do fine without him.

If he came back his senior year he would have help at the rb position. Mike Davis will be a junior and likely to start next year so his carries would be a career low but I really hope latti never wears a carolina uniform again...he has done enough, now go get paid!

1. Lacy is almost on par with Lat with the busted wheel. If Lat shows up at Pro day he'll go very high, he has very good hands doesn't drop the rock and plays hard. He'll get a strong look from the medical staff but if he's cleared teams will take him.

2. Spurrier treats his players well, provided you aren't the QB. Spurrier advised him to go pro due to the injuries and the fact several teams this year were trying to injure him.

He's a great kid who is one of the best backs the SEC has produced, no sense in putting crap in this thread.

f he shows up at the Combine and/or Pro Day and participates and looks good then maybe.

There is no chance in hell he would be able to participate in this. He needs a full year of rehab.

ETA: It's like Maghee (sp), draft/sign him and stash him on practice squad/IR

Obvious Choice

What round does he get drafted? 2nd or 3rd?

Late 3rd or early 4th most likely.

Honestly, there really should be some sort of compensated insurance policy for college athletes who suffer debilitating injuries like that.

South Carolina took NO pressure off his volume of carries. I see RB's ruined too often just because they get so many carries and their bodies can't last.

It's crazy to think he is a jr already. I wish the best for him. He is the type of kid you would hope for all your players to be like.

You are full of shite, Lattimore had an extremly light load heading up to the UT game and the injury. Both times he got injured were freak accidents and had nothing to do with number of carries.

Hope he gets drafted fairly high. That kid deserves the best.
