Why does Mettenberger get a free pass for the last drive?

I know he played the game of his life Sat. night but dude froze up in crunch time. The fact is he had more time on the clock than A.J. for his teams last drive. He was facing soft coverage every play like A.J. supposedly was, and he only had a three man rush each play to worry about. All he managed to do was dump it off on one play and get sacked on another.

Absolutely vital thread. Critical
He played lights out a good portion of the second half. The loss was not on him

Dumb dumb dumb..... AJ had damn near 2 min and Mett had less than 50 seconds.
However, yes I would have liked to have seen something better from the team.... I mean shite Hill could have just ran for the first down rather than trying to throw the ball out of bounds to stop the clock. Bottom line is coaching failed us from the 3rd down before Bama scored until the game ended.

Why are Bama fans constantly making threads about LSU since the game?
It is cause yall are all feeling vulnerable knowing that yall can actually lose a game now?

You have managed to post 21 shitty posts in 2 days. Congrats.
LSU is all up in your head. It's almost laughable.

We don't have a 2 minute offense.
Hell, we didn't have a passing game until we played Bama, home of the DB coach extraordinaire.
AJ wasn't facing soft coverage. He was facing 2 deep safeties, with 1 starting safety on the bench, one corner in tight, and the freshmen corner playing ten yards off and backpedaling on the snap.
On the decisive play, we sent our freshman nickel, and he got duped. That left our weakest coverage safety one on one with a great athlete.
If LSU stays in the same coverage they used outside of the last drives of each half, Mett's last drive is kneeling down, and the dozens of Bama fans that passed in front of me for the exits would have had good reason to leave early.

You see 6inmylifetime, even though we now know that there is really no such thing as "time", as space and time are one in the same, it still proves useful to view time in the traditional linear sense when dealing with relatively short and small events.
When viewing the final minutes of the game the fact that LSU possessed the ball after Alabama meant that Mettenburger had less time than AJ in which to complete the drive because LSU's possession occurred closer to when the clock read 0:00, signaling the end of the game.
It could prove helpful to create yourself a visual aid. Draw a straight line across a piece of paper. Make three marks on the line, one at the beginning, one in the middle, and one at the end. The one at the beginning represents Alabama's final possession, the middle represents LSU's, and the final dot represents the end of the game. Distance from one dot to the final dot represents the amount of time between the two events. It will now become obvious that Mettenburger had less time than AJ in which to complete his final drive.
And no folding that piece of paper and pulling no wormhole shite either. That's cheating.

Why do bama fans get even dumber after wins?

Im pretty sure our regular offense has been so bad we practice that and dont even bother with 2 minute offense. At least that's what it looked like.
Every Tiger fan in that stadium knew it was over when Bama scored the TD.

Great read. Would print in braille & distribute to blind kids.

He doesn't get a free pass with me, nor does the coaching staff. Actually, the same old game-ending mismanagement.
