I want to hear some legitimate HC options for Tennessee. I am tired of this Gruden talk if we hire him great but lets talk about other options.
1. Charlie Strong-my first choice
2. Chris Peterson- highly unlikely but good hire.
3. Jon Gruden-hopefully he won't be the first choice.
4. others Mike Belotti, Dan Mullen, keep Dooley.

It is really cruel to have Hired a Dooley and never really give him a chance.

From day one he had a wait and see fanbase and now all of a sudden this year is "the year".

Fire him if it makes you feel better, but if you don't improve from the new hire you made a huge mistake.

Should have beat UGA, should have beat USC, you are closer than you think.

I'd give him another, hell, we have given richie 12.

Strong would be about the only realistic "big" hire, unless they're willing to pay unreal money. Any guess as to how high they're willing to go?

Seems like only Tenn rivals want Dooley to stay at Tenn.

UT should just keep Dooley. What is the purpose of getting a new coach? Who would you get, realistically, that could beat Nick Saban? Nobody, so why not keep Dooley. Dooley is a good guy fro a good family and he will get better as a coach, he is just young. I like Dooley and I think it will be a mistake to fire him at this point. He has had some good games and he is just short of where he needs to be.

Keep the Dooley at least until Saban goes to Texas or Cleveland.

Mark Stoops, Manny Diaz or a NFL position coach, etc. UT just isn't a top flight program anymore. Look @ your last hire to see that. UT currently is Fresno State with Bama expectations. You will be down for at least a decade. You have money and history but no recruits. Recruiting is the lynchpin in CFB and you guys don't have it. Accept that you got lucky with PF and move on. UT should be happy with 7-9 wins.
