I agree with the general consensus here that Miss St is going to follow to try to follow the formula that actually has been shown to work against Bama: run the ball to shorten the game, punt and defend and pick you moments wisely for passing and hope to hit some big plays. Then hope your secondary can come up with a key interception or two as you absolutely must win the turnover battle.
I don't trust Texas A&M to shorten the game and not try crazy shite like they did against LSU when they came out hurry up and pass happy with a freshman QB and a minute and change left in the first half from deep in their own territory instead of just taking the lead into the break. That kind of courage isn't usually awarded against defenses like LSU's or Alabama's.
However, I do also agree that catching Bama after LSU is a huge advantage over Miss St.
As far as A&M and Miss State playing each other, I'd pretty much guess that it's close enough that the edge would go to the home team.

Mettenberger had you beat deep literally all game. Not our fault he consistently overthrew those guys, but we won't.
Your defense is nowhere close to SEC ready. Sorry, it just isn't. The one legitimate pass threat that you saw put up 57 points and 450 yards through the air on you.
Your offense actually would scare me, if we didn't have 3 different ready-made blueprints on how to stop it...

That was a great thread, thanks for the bump. I'd suggest most of the rant (myself included) stay away from betting.

Like I predicted, no matter who was going to win, lols were going to be had at the end.

Texas A&M without a doubt. I'm actually pretty worried about that game. It'll come a week after the LSU game which will be extremely physical. They'll be a little beat up and are due for a letdown after such a big game. Texas A&M has a lot of talent, a very good QB, and an unconventional offense that Alabama has never seen before. It's going to be a tricky game for them.
