Anybody gotta cliff notes version of what PM posted on AuburnUndercover today?

I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread started about this yet.

No decision until after the season, does not believe it will be Petrino in the SEC.

Ron Sanders on Fbaum, cliffs

Bobby Petrino, Charlie Strong, Jimbo Fisher, Gary Patterson, and Paul Rhodes.
Petrino would be loved by a lot of people but there would be some pushback.
Charlie is a good coach. No one has ever retired from Louisville.
Jimbo met his wife at AU. May or may not be interested.
Gary...bad interview last time.
Paul Rhodes...not much.
He doesn't know when the change will be made.

That's interesting. Wonder what made it bad.

Thanks for the cliffs

So what? There was pushback when Saban was hired at Bama. Now look at him. Petrino will win big here, IMO. He's VERY high on my list.

Meh. He's recruiting really well at Louisville, yet he's struggling to beat South Florida and Pitt. I'm not saying Strong won't be a good coach, but it would be a gamble, and we can't afford that right now.

Not my first choice, but I'd definitely take him.

Wait... we've interviewed Gary Patterson before? When did this happen? And why wasn't he hired?!?! My top candidate.

Paul Rhodes...not much

I actually like Rhoads a lot (would actually prefer him over Strong), but he's down the list a bit.

Was interviewed after Tubbs was forced out... Was told the role Jay Jacobs and Tim Jackson play in the AU football program, hence, "bad interview"

The Jones is correct

This just ruined my frickin' night. We had Gary Patterson for the taking, and we end up with Gene frickin' Chizik.

I've had just about all I can take of Jacobs and Jackson.

Tim Jackson isn't qualified to wear an Auburn jersey that reads "SODEXO" on the back.

fricking hate that man.

BP has to learn how to produce a defense before he can win anything big. He will end up end up losing to every defensive team like he did at arkansas.

I believe he would let his coordinators handle defense (unlike some coaches)

We're currently losing to teams without an offense.
We're currently losing to teams without a defense.

I'm convinced we couldn't win a game if the opponent punted on every first down.

There was NO pushback when Saban was hired, there were people fapping in the streets.

There was pushback in the National media due to the firing of Shula (National media felt Shula was fired to quickly, and over the way Saban left Miami). But the local media and fans were VERY happy. I was traveling from New Orleans to Atlanta and stopped in Tuscaloosa for lunch on the day Saban was announced. The Red Lobster went crazy with applause.

When Auburn fires CGC there will be pushback from the National media saying CGC was fired to quickly. I don't care.

One of the "insiders" on another board posted that Slive is pretty much pushing to keep Petrino out of the SEC altogether. Just passing info along.
