Here's another disadvantage: Saban's mind will be on the Texas job while AJ's mind will be on which nearby parlor he'll select to give him his first prince albert.

Yeah...um...explain to me then if the statement about Bama is true, how exactly is LSU better than last year?

I'll wait......

Bama and LSU both aren't as good as they were last year.

Ok so I went back and read it. How does any of these points you mention have to do with Met over throwing receivers? Death Valley is indeed one if not the toughest place to pay at night. You failed to mention that most of the players have played in big games, and will not be in awe over the atmosphere. Last years MNC atmosphere against a LSU team, and some have been part of two MNC game atmosphere, so this could be the only team that has played in DV in a while that will not be intimidated by the crowd and the wild surroundings. I do think it will be a great TOUGH game.

Mett is a liability, I won't deny that. Jarett Lee and Jordan Jeffereson were too yet LSU won two straight regular season games over Alabama from 2010-2011. He'll have to step up and make some big throws at times, but they will rely on their ground game, defense, and special teams.

Bama has played big games but I don't recall the last time they played LSU in death valley at night. I know for a fact it hasn't been in the Saban era.

It won't be a blowout, I'm not saying that. I'm expecting a low scoring grind out game.

Arkansas, Miss St, Ole Miss, and Alabama are coming up for LSU now, all are playing much better ball right now. Ive got a strange feeling (a sickening feeling) Lester's luck is about to really be put to the test.

This... I don't think this is the year of the derailment. However next years schedule sets up nicely for about 5 losses. With other SEC improving (Miss. State, Florida, Ole Miss, A&M) and if we slip on defense we could easily drop 5 conference games next year. Lester's luck and our continual regression on offense is going to come back to bite us one day. If you think this site is ugly now.....just wait till the ball stops bouncing our way.

Youve got to factor in three variables when assessing LSU this year.

1)Inept offensive coaching
predictable unimaginative play calling
high school offense.
2)Undisiplined football players (penalties)
3)A qb not ready for prime time.

While it may be true that Alabama "hasn't played anyone," to suggest that Alabama isn't good, or will lose a game based on this is fallacious logic.

If Alabama drops one of its remaining games, rest assured it won't be because of lack of competition in the first half of the season.

LSU's biggest weakness is their offense. Bama's greatest strength is their Defense. That's a recipe for disaster for LSU.

the only way LSU wins the game is if Alabama comes in banged up from State and turns the ball over multiple times and gives LSU short yardage.

Other than that Lsu wont be able to put together any long drives and Bama can almost totally sell out on the run and force Mett to beat them in the air.

I agree the bye week will help Lsu, actually, its a huge advantage, may even make for a close game, but Bama is just too balanced offensively and their d is more impressive than lsu.

Not sure why someone said the Bama d isn't as good this year but they've already forced something like 17 turnovers to date (might be more now) and at the same point last year it was around 8. Bama also leads every major statistical category in the country on D.

They have a qb that doesn't make mistakes - hasn't thrown an interception in how many attempts now?

now to all that many of you will just say they haven't played anyone but they've pretty well blown everyone out and lsu has struggled against some creampuffs this year so...

it's really a fun debate but ultimately I don't think lsu has the offensive firepower to beat Bama's defense.

LOL, yet bama fans hyped up Saban's record in "revenge games" going into last year.

Not I. I think the whole concept of a revenge game is fricking retarded.

Nope...butthurt AU fan...LSU won't be able to score enough points...defenses are equal, Bamas offense is way better and they won't turn the ball over. 24-10 Bama

There is a reason we play the game. You can't watch our games this year to determine how we perform vs Bama. This will be THE game. TS will rock like never before, and the team will feed off it. They want this game to settle the score. Bama won't get those wide open WR's they've had all year. We will stuff the run and plant AJ on his back with spine busters. Fluker vs our speed rushers in a pass play is a recipe for disaster. Bama will turn it over 2-3 times, and the noise will result in several offensive penalties.

Nov 3rd the Tide falls

Jesus ....the LSU chest beating from these rantards is insufferable....you would think after 01/09 they would have at least a modicum of respect or Bama....but not these fools

I respect that you will lose.

It's a new season. You want respect, then beat us at night in TS. Do what you couldn't do at your place last year. Till then

Tide tears of sorrow and despair will be plentiful Nov 3rd.

A big factor is LSU has a BYE week before the game,

The SEC office offered Saban a bye before the LSU game and he turned it down. Our teams player better without a week before big games. Please understand, they have been working on the LSU game plan since this summer.
