In a word...OUTSTANDING.
Thanks Aggies for making me and mine feel so welcome and offering up a great time. We had one of the best away game weekends ever. A&M fans and C/S residents are some of the friendliest people we have ever met.
Only negative, sec. 500 seats. Good lord!
Stayed at Messina Hof in Bryan. A great experience and will stay there again.
Restaurants we enjoyed:
Casa Rodriguez in Bryan
Chicken Oil in Bryan
Republic Steakhouse in C/S
-the bar at Republic is awesome with live music on the weekends
Koppe Bridge in C/S
Fish Daddys in C/S
C&J's BBQ
We also had sticker shock at how inexpensive things are in C/S, both meals and booze (bars).
Northgate is a lot of fun. O'bannons, Dixie Chicken and Dudley's Draw were our favorites. The Corner bar rooftop is also a must stop.
Kind of neat that y'all allow fans onto the field after the game. I suspect that tradition will change after a few of your west division brethren make the trip over.
I still do not understand why you cannot park on the grass anywhere. This turns tailgating into picnicking as you are not near your vehicle.
For those of you going to C/S consider parking behind the Northgate area on game day. Some free street parking and inexpensive lots only a 10 minute walk from Kyle.
Hey Aggies, what's up with the bats in Kyle?
Welcome to the SEC. Glad to see that y'all are so excited to be part of the family. Look forward to y'all making the return trip to the Swamp soon.

Glad you had a good time. From what I and my friends/family experienced your fans were awesome. That's very cool you stayed at Messina Hof. I've been there and eaten at the restaurant several times but never actually stayed there.

The bats have been a problem for a while. One of the many reasons that Kyle Field (which is almost 100 years old) needs to be renovated completely.

We all need exercise. I've stated it over and over again, but there are seats much worse than the 5xx's. 149 and 100 are completely behind the south end zone. If you want to watch the game, you basically can only see it on the tv from those 2 sections.

Possibly the 2nd or 3rd largest population of mexican free-tail bats in the world. They seem to like to roost there. The AD was talking about getting some money this year to put up nets or something to keep them out.. the only real annoying thing with them is the pleasing odor.

Glad you had fun. We need a new stadium ASAP (and we're getting it).

I'd say you have a bit of a problem there.

I've heard that we can't do much b/c of environtmental regulations / protected species stuff, but I don't know.

Glad you had a good time - though I wish the score would have been different.
We met quite a few Gator fans and all were very gracious as well and seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I'll admit as much as shite as we have been giving each other on the Rant, Saturday proved to me that real life wins again.
We had an interesting mix at our tailgate (and my car is 5 feet away on the grass because I have a permit) of Florida, LSU, Bama, Auburn, Aggies and the random Wisconsin fan. Tailgating was intense at 730 am and just blew through the roof mid morning. I can only imagine what LSU is going to be like.
I have a great respect for Florida fans, but I could certainly tell that LSU and UF fans hate each other.

I usually park behind northgate too. There is a church across from the northgate parking garage that let s you park in their lot for $5-$10.
Beer is CHEAP in CS.

Because many LSU fans (mainly students) are real assholes.

Glad you had a great time!
They started the "on the field" thing less than 10 years ago, before that it was actually guarded like Ft Knox. A&M has never had its field goal posts torn down in spite of some monster victories at home over the years.
The way it works out well is because they wait until all the players and coaches are cleared so the initial "burst of energy" is over. Then it may not be obvious but there is a huge amount of security all over the place and they are on the slightest incident in seconds ready to take someone off to the pokey if they want to start trouble. I have 2 young sons so it is something I look forward to a great deal, it's pretty fun to throw TD passes to your 9 year old or kick a FG at Kyle. Gotta keep your head on a swivel though, it's crazy down there and the odds of getting bumped with a body or a ball are at least 80%.

Glad y'all had fun. I spoke with a number of Florida fans and they were all very gracious & polite. Your fans were great representatives. I can honestly say I didn't see anyone acting a fool.

Florida fans are the worst in the SEC, hands down.
Those poor Aggies don't know what they're in for next year if they go to that shite hole called Gainesville.
