We won the title last year, I'm not expecting an undefeated season.
I'd definitely not be happy, but it's better than losing to Utah.

What if Oregon State's kicker didn't have that voodoo hex put on him and Saban choked in his first game at LSU after winning the '03 natty?

Meh.
I'm not seeing a big meltdown if Bama loses. Michigan is a good team. Not going to be a huge surprise if Saban loses.
The Petrino situation, OTOH, came completely out of nowhere. Haven't seen anything quite like that since Mike Price got fired.
There won't be a bigger meltdown this season than Petrinogate.
