For all their lameness (see PR Welcome to SEC video), there is something admirable about Aggies loyalty to their own and their patriotism.
Photo and blog entry from the photographer at the funeral of LTC. Roy Lin Tisdale.
"I had heard that there would be protestors at the funeral, the same group that protests at military funerals across the states. This had weighed heavy on my heart, this family had suffered enough. Could they not remember their family member in peace. As I arrived at the church I noticed lots of college aged students and older all wearing Aggie colors. It was still several hours until the funeral was scheduled to start, I wondered if there had been an event at the church that all the Aggies had been a part of. More and more maroon shirts, more and more cars...and then I looked out to the outskirts of the church and all of those maroon shirts were lined up next to each other. It was well over 100 degrees yesterday. Hundreds and hundreds of Aggies, young and old, lined up side by side to protect the family. It reminded me of the scripture of God gathering up all his chicks under His wing for protection. They were there to protect the family. No one was getting through that was not welcome."

While this has been posted twice before, nobody could get over the fact that they were posted "incorrectly". Hopefully this will satisfy them. Meanwhile, I never get tired of reading it. Thanks for sharing, and God Bless yall too. Just because.

I love to give them crap, but there is no doubt that the Ags are typically very nice folks. The campus is exceptionally friendly, and as a southerner, I find their love of God and country to be refreshing.
They are a great cultural fit for the SEC.

I am very proud of the aggie community. Roy Lynn had two wonderful kids. I just wish for once these people protesting would look back own their lives and what it would be like if they lost their son or father. Once again, proud of the a&m support and God Bless America!

I live in Kansas City, and through my work, I am occasionally in Wichita, where these arse wipes live. I've seen first hand their crazyness, vile language and disgusting posters they display. This particular day, there was no "hot topic" they were protesting....just standing in the middle of downtown at a major intersection splewing their BS. Attention whores is what they are!
Good job Ags....those people are true scum of the earth.

They are based in Topeka KS which I am convinced is a vortex of evil. More appropriate to protest of funeral of theirs would be the rainbow coalition or the San Francisco City Council, since their home website is godhatesfags dot com.

You are right Sasrocks. I stand corrected, as they are from Topeka. I hastily wrote that post as I was on my way out the door heading to the grocery store.
They are a pitiful group. Like I said in my earlier post, there was no "hot topic" to bring them out onto Topeka streets. I was able to observe them up close for about 20 minutes while gathering things from my vehicle for customers. It was obvious after watching their delight and laughter from the looks and responses they were getting it was all about attention. There was about 10 of them and probably between the ages of 12 to 25. That's just sick to raise young people up on pure hate and ignorance. Pathetic, as I just shook my head in disgust.

Thanks. We can give it out but more importantly, we can take it. Former students like Lt.Col Tisdale embody the Spirit that has and will be Texas A&M.
BTW Lt. Col Tisdale was a member of the Corps of Cadets and if you see or hear of someone calling the corps "fake soldiers", milkmen, nut grabbers, etc.... remember Lt. Col Tisdale and the thousands like him who were commissioned in the military after graduation.
Fake? Ask his widow and children. It's very real to them.
