Which school in the SEC would you send your children?

It’s the offseason, and driving home one day I started to think – if given the opportunity, which SEC school would I want my kids to attend? Given the opportunity, I’d want my kids to attend Arkansas – but they might have better opportunities in life and better experiences if they went somewhere else. After compiling my list, I was a bit surprised how little (outside of athletics) I really knew about some of the other schools in the conference.
How does your list look? It can be based on anything you want – athletics, academics, general atmosphere, easy coeds, etc… (You are the parent). What say you SECr?
1. Vanderbilt
2. Florida
3. Georgia
4. Arkansas
5. Ole Miss
6. Alabama
7. Missouri
8. South Carolina
9. LSU
10. Auburn
11. Kentucky
12. Texas A&M
13. Tennessee
14. Mississippi State
ETA: Since there aren't two states named Kentucky, I changed one of them out with South Carolina

Vanderbilt
If he was just a once in a generation athlete, probably LSU or another big name football school

1)Georgia
2)Vanderbilt
wouldn't want him to go anywhere else. If he does he's paying his own way.

Obviously, AU is a very special place and love for my kid to go there...but it really depends on his/her course of study.

Vanderbilt, Georgia, Florida ( ) and LSU would be the only schools that I would pay for him/her to attend.

Basically anywhere but Arkansas.
I don't really want to support my kids for the entirety of my life.

One of these things is not like the others, academically

Why bother? If I hated the kid that much, I'd just shoot him rather than put him through that.

If he/she wasn't an athlete and had to go off of academics, town life and opportunities after college....
1) Vanderbilt -- doesn't need an explanation
2) A&M -- largest active alum network out there
3) Florida -- great academics, good opportunities in the South
4) Georgia -- same as A&M and Florida. Great academics, Athens is a great town and UGA alums are plentiful across the country and network well.
After those 4, its a big drop off. I wouldn't be opposed to my child choosing Auburn, Bama, Mizzou or LSU. I know LSU can get a bad rap for academics, but the ones I know in the Oil/Gas Industry do well for themselves and are very personable and look out for their own. I guess it just depends on what they wanted their major to be.
As for the rest... Arky, UK, Tennessee, Ole Miss, Miss State, South Carolina... I either don't know enough about them or have a broad 30,000 ft. view of the schools that isn't impressive to me. My mind could be changed though if someone were able to sell me on the strengths of the schools. I'm not close-minded to any school out there.

To hAve LSU ahead of Auburn is a joke...you want your kids to 1) live in BR and 2) go to a shitty academic school? You must not love your kids

True. It's also my alma mater, so it gets a break.

If he was just a once in a generation athlete, he/she could get a full ride to Vanderbilt - and likely see quite a bit of playing time.

Why Auburn so low?
ETA:
#75 Alabama
#82 Auburn
#128 LSU
#132 Arkansas
#143 Ole Miss
Only Alabama is higher than Auburn out of those schools, and I'd say that is based on major. Alabama is a much better liberal arts college than Auburn, but Auburn has a better engineering school.

Oh, and I know this is SEC, but if my kid wanted to stay in Texas, there's only one school I'd let him go to outside of A&M.... and that is Texas.
I wouldn't support my kids if they wanted to go to Tech, Baylor, SMU or TCU. I'd laugh if they said UH, Texas State, UNT, UTEP or UTSA.
