I've heard that Coach Murphy has tickets for season ticket holders in the T-town area delivered in person by a member of the softball team in uniform. That's going the extra mile to keep your fanbase enthusiastic.

For me, it's:
1. Football
2. Basketball (men's)
3. Baseball (and yes, we suck!!)
4. Softball
5. Gymnastics
6. Golf (Men's and Women's)
7. all the others

This. Both UA & FLA have had damn strong softball teams for a few years now. I pulled hard for FLA both years they played for the NC. I pleased that Bama brought the trophy to the SEC. It was no easy task, but those Bama girls damn sure 'Finished It' last night!

I'm not an Alabama fan but I'll list preferences anyway.

That's about it. The reason why softball is up there pretty high is because I've been around it my whole life. My grandfather is in the Alabama Softball HOF and he teaches clinics to HS girls. I've been going to Alabama softball games since they started at Bowers Park...something probably none of the posters here did.

There will always be more interest in Alabama football because it is the best sport the school has. I wouldn't expect baseball or softball to have bigger numbers.

Oh I know, that is probably true of most fanbases in SEC (save UK). It's a just a representation of priority...fairly accurate I would think.

The term "front runners" would be better - to use the term "bandwagon" in this situation is just downright ignorant.
I have 2 degrees from Alabama. Apparently my support of ALL athletic teams from my alma mater no matter how small and even if yucky girls play it makes me "bandwagon".
