Alabama tied for the lead at -4 early in the tournament. Auburn in 3rd at -2. Top 8 teams at the end of 3rd round Thursday advance to match play the final 3 days to determine champion.

Update (5:55 PM) Bama now alone on top of leaderboard at E. Auburn and Texas in great shape tied for 2nd with 2 other teams at +1 but both are well into the back nines of their round as is Alabama.

You may be confused, Hunter started with a bogie and has never been under par... Quality golfer, captain, hope he has a good tourney... Alabama started on the BACK 9...
