There are lots of small players who benefit from the return game. Aside from that, his #'s @ Rb are pedestrian at best. And when he did have a whopping 800 or so yards in a season, he just so happened to be playing alongside superman.
Face it. He's a scat back who could not carry a team on his own if he had to (see last year). So quit degrading Au Rb's of the past that OM couldn't hold the jockstrap of. It's pathetic.

We all just need to accept the fact that Newton was so good, the stats from other Auburn players from 2010 are meaningless.

Could probably fashion some sort of word game like the silly " in bed" addition to the end of a fortune cookie just add 'without cam' as a precursor to to every bama fan post about auburn.

Yes, did you read it? I'll mar that answer down as "no".

What's your point? O-MAC does more than return.

Yea, him having 2,016 yards rushing and 488 yards receiving before his senior year are pedestrian. Those are pretty damn good numbers for a guy that's had to play behind Ben Tate and Michael Dyer.

Whooptie-fricking-do.
Trent Richardson just so happened to put up his best numbers behind a great offensive line.
See how stupid that argument is?

I'm pretty sure I've said this numerous times on the SEC Rant, but that doesn't take away from his accomplishments on the field. He's one of the most electrifying players in the SEC due to speed and shiftiness.

Good lord, I hope you aren't serious. If so, you deserve a big LOL.

All of that bullshite is coming from Lieutenant Dan, what do you expect?

10 rushes, 109 yards, touchdown
2 catches, 53 yards, touchdown
Damn good numbers. O'mc is a good player. I've never heard he has a shitty attitude like Mike and Mike.

His run against LSU is what I remember the most. Stats are for losers.

Exactly.
I think that's why Mike Blakely is having trouble jumping ahead of others on the depth chart, even though he had a damn good game during Auburn's A-Day. He made the most of his chance.

Like wut? Jet sweep?

Yes. Averaging under 700 yd's rushing a season is pedestrian. In 3 years mind you. Has his rushing #'s progressed? No.

Wow, how sad that you believe OM is in the same class as some of AU greats. Carnell & Brown almost had 1000 yards APIECE in 04. GTFO if you think he is as good as either.

Well, for starters, just by looking at his stats from last year, he would've been Alabama's 3rd leading receiver. He caught more passes and had more yards than Trent Richardson, and he's a threat anytime he has the ball in his hand. And he didn't only run jet sweeps last year.
Do you disagree?
And I'm sorry, but I can't take people serious if they type like this...

Did you fail to mention that he's had to play behind Ben Tate and Michael Dyer? Not many running backs would start over them, regardless of size or talent.
quote:

Actually, yes. They went up from year 1 to year 2, but regressed in year 3. The horrible play from our offensive line played a major part in that, but I don't expect you to know or acknowledge that.

Did I say that? No. Stop putting words in my mouth.

They sure did, and they were great.

I don't believe I said this, either. There you go putting words in my mouth again.
Onterio McCalebb will have his spot in Auburn's history as a great overall player. He isn't really great at anything, but he's been good at a lot of things. And I'd rather have that than someone who just pounds the ball. We use him in a varity of ways. He's a running back, receiver, kick returner, and gunner.

Finally.
This grandiose thread of "at just 5'10 154, can you believe" was a little over the top. Yes the guy is a great returner. Notice i said great! He is however, decent at the TB position. It's the facts.
He will not be drafted, as he is not an every down back. And as amazed as you are at how he performed at such a small size, warrick dunn says hello. Just saying...

I don't think I ever hinted at thinking he was a great Auburn running back, which is why I posted stats from everything he does on the field.

ORLY? Don't post in it, then. Noone said he was a great running back. I simply layed down his accomplishment thus far in his career. And he still has a year left.
He will finish with over 4,000 yards as an Auburn Tiger, and possibly around 30 touchdowns.

Yes the guy is a great returner.
Of course he is.
quote:

It depends on what exactly you're saying he's decent at. He was never going to run between the tackles as a running back here, but he's great at what he does out of the backfield. He runs his sweeps, catches his screen passes, and every now and then surprises the defense with a run up the middle. He has great hands.

It's the facts.
All of this is your opinion, as well as mine.

He will not be drafted
I couldn't care less. That doesn't take away from his accomplishments at Auburn.

Earth shattering news, cripple.

Who cares? Why are you comparing a NFL great to a guy that you think sucks? Hell, let me compare Barry Sanders to Jeff Demps.

Warrick Dunn was only short, he wasn't small like O-Mac.....
Look, I know dude. My family lives in Ft. Meade, my uncle played for Pat Dye and turned Tubby on to him....his life in Ft. Meade wasn't good at all....
He came to AU to better his life. He's about to get a degree, he'll finish with about 2800 rush yds and was never THE guy. Probably 4000+ all purp yards, and he never weighed more than 170 lbs....
Hate all u want, but he's had a very successful and productive career at AU from Day 1....
