It's a shame that South Carolina didn't land Montgomery...would have been awesome to see a Gamecock DL with Clowney and Montgomery as our book-end DEs...

Next season, we'll still have Devin Taylor, who's an All-SEC-caliber DE opposite Clowney. We will also see more contributions from senior DE Chaz Sutton, who has the talent to be a starter for many other SEC teams, but got buried a little by a depth chart that had Cliff Matthews, Taylor, Ingram and now Clowney. There may be situations where we move Clowney inward like we did with Ingram last season, and play him with both Taylor and Sutton.

I'm also very excited about DT Kelcy Quarles..if it weren't for Clowney last season, we'd have spent a lot of time raving about this kid. IMO, he's a future 1st-team All-SEC DL in the making. It just may start next season...

Yeah I swear every time there is a best of ____ in the SEC. Regardless of what sport, position, coach it is there always seems to be at least 1 State fans that nominates some random arse Bulldog that no one else agrees with.

True but at the same time, anytime we nominate a state guy for anything, it's always wrong. Fletcher Cox will probably be the first D tackle taken in this year's draft and anytime we brought him up last year, it was just State people trying to "grind for their state." Requiem's statement could actually end up being true. We are definitely in the top 3.

A little bias here, but I think Williams could be a top 5 DLineman.

Also, anyone want Bama/USCe to play in the SECCG just to see Cyrus vs Clowney?

What has Cyrus done to show that it he would stand a better chance than any other SEC LT?

I don't get it either. Someone changing positions seems to have made Cyrus the best LT in the league all of a sudden. Not playing has it's benefits I guess.

Good question

According to Trey, he will be a top 5 pick in the NFL Draft when he comes out as a Junior. Based on what? I have absolutely no clue.

He is good but not all sec caliber, when all sec is Clowney and Sam M. He isnt lose to being as good as either right now.

No and No.

No one outside of Bama fans care for that match up.
