I wouldn't think you could ever have too much money in your athletic account. Does it not look great? Yea, but if they pay LSU enough I'm all for it

Maybe I have too much respect for LSU baseball. IMO there shouldnt be any of those bush league lookin ads on the walls at the Box. Again, LSU is above that BS.

No

The AD has enough money at this point to give a shiton to the school itself. And they have. Just in recent years we've seen a new basketball practice facility, a new upper deck for TS, new windows, new baseball stadium, new softball stadium, etc. Currently, they're adding more suites to the Box and will soon start a $9 million makeover for TS

So yeah, I think we're pretty set

Ads on walls in baseball isnt bush league at all. Maybe if they put an ad on the field itself yeah. Or a logo in the outfield. Ads on baseball walls are almost as old as the game itself.

Your opinion.

You have a point but I just think it would look tons better with just a solid purple wall with some gold trim. But hey, if yall like having a top 3 park with Dizzie Dean walls have at it.

They built our Academic Center for Student-Athletes and contribute in other ways. LINK

It has a really sweet computer lab.

Our arena is named for College Basketball's all time leader scorer. Pete Maravich Assembly Center

Do You mind your arena being named for a donor (Walmarks)? Bud Walton Arena

Any post with the words "serious question" is doomed.

I think most of the top SEC programs turn a profit, I know UF has for some time.

Just about every SEC football program turns a profit. We break even with baseball and used to make a nice profit off of basketball too.

IIRC, Kentucky basketball makes about as much profit as a non-SEC football team. Does anyone have the KY basketball numbers?

They're certainly not getting their money's worth, because we suck and no one watches the games.

Why would I care about the name? We don't have Walton family stamped all over our court, field, or outfield walls.

The same reason why anyone should care about a logo on a basketball court.

Yea, "Bud Walton Court". Gee,wonder what Mr Walton did for a living ?

Hawgeye, like half the Arkansas fans here just like to post petty nonsense about LSU in particular to make themselves feel better about their never ending mediocrity.
