Why not?

...but like Colin Cowherd said, it would have been like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

The likelihood is JL's insertion into the game would not have changed the outcome. Alabama was the better team, but not even trying something different when we kept doing the same stupid things over and over again is what has me aggravated as hell. I can accept that we lost, but I cannot accept that we weren't even competitive.

It's the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, for God's sake. Do ANYTHING, EVERYTHING, to win the damn thing. There was no do-over. No mulligan. That was it.

And Les Miles decided he'd rather lose with JJ than try to win with Lee.

Dude, he is the fricking Rudy of LSU football. How can you not pull for him. Stuck in too eraly due to Periloux dismissal, all those pic six's and then told to leave LSU that he would never play but he stuck it out saved LSU's arse so many times against you guys in 2010, Tenn game, and then all the games this year until he faced you. He had one or two ints all year. Then the golden boy George Jefferson returns and he is thrown aside like yesterdays garbage. That is why everyone is pissed, including a lot of current players

There is NO excuse for Lee not getting into the game in his last game. NONE! THAT is what most LSU fans I KNOW are pissed about. 8-0 start and not pLaying one down monday nite? Miles lost tons of respect...tons.

Exactly, should have much earlier, but with about 8 mins to go & looking like we were trying to run out the clock, JL should definitely been put in. What's there to lose.
Of course, he should have played in the first half against UGA, and in games before that, if only out of respect for sticking with it & bailing JL's sorry arse out of it. HE only saved the whole season for us.

I posted several times BEFORE the game that the ONLY chance LSU had was to put JL in (or by some miraculous occurrence JJ found a passing game). I bashed LSU fans on the 33 yard passing performance in the UGA game as evidence that he couldn't pass AND that Les would not play JL either. If he didn't when it got that bad then he somehow had lost all faith in JL and sure as hell wouldn't put him in the Bama game because of his history with us.

I also said the only other likely chance that LSU had was to pressure AJ. If they couldn't get to him he would torch them. I said LSU's weakness was in their secondary and stated the WVa game as evidence. Of course I got laughed out of the thread each time I said it as if I was a delusional fan.

I'll say this to you right now. Les better listen to your new QB coach (and hope that his illness doesn't keep him from doing a good job). Because I don't think he listened to him this year. He did a great job getting Lee ready. His stats were very good in the first few games. MSU, WVa, and UF games were all very good games for Lee passing wise. Then you bench him for 2 int's against us. Lee was the only one I was worried about. But if Les doesn't listen to the new QB coach next year then your never going to have a real good QB.

JLee knows that a home should not have wheels.

Do you take the wheels off your double wide at the trailer park? If so, what do you do with them? Bet you put a some concrete blocks around them and use a sheet of glass to make a dining room table.

If he puts it up deep in man to man, we have a 50-50 shot of the WR coming down with it.
JJ gave us a 100% chance of fail that night.

Did you watch the first 8 games this year?

Lee's QB rating/td to in ratio/passer efficiency/sack percentage were all higher than anything JJ ever pulled out of his arse.

Yes he had a few bad plays against bama the first go around.. but JJ was a walking talking bad play.

Honestly no. I said that Les should have come out and ran the wildcat with Shep. Yes, I understand that running the ball was not working, but Shep has done this before and he was a dual threat qb in hs and the top rated one at that. He could have thrown a pass. Also, should have got mettenburger ready if jj did not play well. Lee was toast after the bama game when he was benched. Lost confidence I would imagine. I would have been better out there at qb.

You had to show something that Saban would never expect. Mettenburger and Shep would have been that. Yes, he would have made adjustment and we should have done the same. I think the lack of preparation was the mistake.

Also, I don't believe Bama is that much better, but we laid an egg and you all played great. Even the bama fan next to me couldn't believe the great passes and catches. I know alot about them and outside of Bell, Maze, Hanks and Gibson, never heard of the other guys, Norwood, etc.

All we can do is reload and come back.

Guess I know how you guys felt now after last season losing to Auburn. I hate bama, but I was pulling my arse off for you guys in that one. I think I lost it when McElroy got sacked and had to come out.
