If LSU loses, how will this year's team be remembered?

If Bama wins, this team will be remembered as a team which was totally carried by a phenomenal defense, but the team as a whole probably won't be revered as one of Bama's greats...despite winning a MNC. This is probably a product of the expectations Saban has built.
If LSU wins, this will clearly go down as their best team to date.
But what will be this LSU team's legacy if they lose the BCSNCG?

Undefeated sec champs. Beat everyone on their schedule including the PAC 10 and big east champs. Beat five teams ranked in the top five at the time they played. AP national champs. Most accomplished team in the nation without question

LSU is equal to many of those years Bama claims as part of your 13. Why is that so hard for you to understand? At Best Bama gets a split. Thats it. At best LSU takes both trophies home. Hence, already Natl Champs.

I don't think AP will vote LSU #1 if Bama wins in regulation. But why are we even talking about AP poll? It's irrelevant. The CHAMPIONSHIP GAME is decisive. Deal with it.
